[Wataru pops up on the video with a big grin, a white dove settled contentedly on his shoulder.]

Greetings, my fellow citizens! I come to you today with two urgent requests, and while it humbles me to make them, I'm doing it nonetheless! In the interest of getting what I need, I'll also get right to the point.

For the first request, I'm interested in gathering connections to other musicians and performance-inclined individuals for a small project. A tiny one. Oya? You're worried? Definitely nothing to concern yourselves over! I know of a few others, but if you introduce yourselves to me directly we can avoid all kinds of delays. I'm especially interested in other idols, and in genres other than what I personally am accustomed to performing. Shown here.

[He plays a song with his acquired music box, just for about forty-five seconds or so as he hums along, then shuts it off and laughs.]

Ah, now... [He sets the box back aside, then takes the bird from his shoulder and pets her gently.] ...The second matter is a little more delicate. I think this has to do with my Moonblessing! I'm absolutely famished at all times during this moon, and especially starved for... Fufufu, well, it's contact I'm starved for! Chroma is a precious thing, and I can't seem to get enough. It's as simple as agreeing to meet up and hold my hand for a while, you see! We'll discuss things, or perhaps we could see a movie, or a play? I could sing to you!~ Magic tricks are my forte, as well, and I'd be happy to show you some of those. Look! One, Two, Amazing☆!

[He pets the white dove once, twice, then nudges her up into flight as a rose blooms where she just sat on his hand. She comes back to land on his shoulder, unfazed.]

See? Just as simple as that. So I'll pay you in entertainment, and you'll give me some companionship! Nothing simpler. Age isn't a factor, or anything else. I'm quite known to love entertaining people of all ages, and I dare say all races and species!

[He doesn't even look embarrassed as he reaches the end of his request, and he grins broadly. This man has NO shame.]

[ This takes him so long to figure out how to reply to, and that's because what the heck is this video stuff anyway? still, he's determinedly figuring it out, mostly because he's interested in.............. the bird. blah blah blah, something moonblessing, and really he's not opposed to helping, but: ]

What's your bird friend's name?

[ Asks someone who appears on camera with a massive crow sitting on his shoulder, peering down at the camera that's being held too close to their faces to start. ]

If you need help with your moonblessing stuff, I can hold your hand or give you a hug or whatever. I'm not a performer, so can't help with that. I don't even know more than one song.

[ The one Hamaji would always sing is ingrained in his memory. ]

... How do you make this stop sending?

[ He looks to his crow, and Murasame looks back, opening his beak to mutter a: ]

Don't know.

[Wataru grins, and he's about to launch into something hilarious when the bird talks.]

Oh my. Jeanne doesn't speak, unfortunately.

[ Welcome to demon birds and their incomparable ability to speak, when it suits. Shino blinks, looking back down at the camera that's recording still, hearing the live response in video. Wow! It seriously works like that?! ]

Murasame is a special case. The dove's Jeanne, then?

[ He stumbles with that pronunciation, but by slowing down he gets through it more or less correctly. ]

Jeanne D'Arc, named after a saint from my home world.

[He's amused, though. And fascinated. A talking bird? That isn't a parrot or similar? It's wonderful indeed!]

She's my assistant!

[inuko]

... In what?

[ He and Murasame both tilt their heads to the side, which is a fairly hilarious tandem motion of its own. ]

Unless it's for the magic tricks.

[demachi]

[He nods once, hair bouncing.]

Indeed, it's true! I'm a world-renowned magician back home. Well, I was, but now I'm more of an actor than anything else. Still, how could I live without my little flock?

[inuko]

Is it a flock when it's just the two of you? Sounds more like a pair...

[ Not the point, Shino! He sighs, glancing down at Murasame. ]

I know an actor back home... though he's more of a dancer and actor, I guess. If you're world renowned, did you travel the world over?

[demachi]

Sadly, the rest of my flock is at home. But Jeanne D'Arc, my dearest thing, she's here with me. I feel like she chose me, after everything.

[He and Jeanne have both been through things.]

Yes indeed! For a short time, anyway. It was enough to gain me a modest amount of money so I could go to the school of my choice.

[inuko]

Or whatever brought us here chose her along with you.

[ Which is weird, but this isn't the first person he's heard talking about arriving with a pet. People might think the same of Murasame, even if the reality is different. ]

You traveled the world so you could earn money for school? What kind of school is it?

[ Asks the homeschooled guy who's not once in his life had the option of attending regular school in any way. But he gets it, from the perspective of seeing how important it'd been for Hamaji, and how he'd helped work toward seeing she succeeded once she was in that boarding school she'd wanted to be in. ]

[demachi]

Perhaps, perhaps! But it's ladies' choice, and she's quite the formidable madame!

[He grins, delighted to be talking about Jeanne. Honestly, she's gone a long way to keeping him happy and sane here. Despite not having the rest of his flock, he's fine. He's always felt an affinity with Jeanne in particular, for her struggles and her heart. He loves her dearly.]

A school for the performing arts! I was in the idol course, though I had strong ties to the acting course.

[inuko]

No I kind of want to meet her...

[ Though he'll keep Murasame put away at the time. ]

That word... you can't mean the idol I know, so when you say idol, what exactly do you mean?

[ He's not learning how to turn into an icon in a church, after all. ]

You're welcome to. Any fan of mine must also be a fan of Jeanne D'Arc!

[Oh, a question ha can answer.]

An idol, in this case, is a sparkling, shining performer who stands above the world and rains down blessings and joy in the form of song, dance, and other lively things. I personally act, as well, though it's far from a requirement.

... What if I'm just a fan of the bird?

[ It's highly likely the bird won't want anything to do with him, though, so he sighs a bit right after. ]

So you... do a lot of different kinds of performances, it sounds like. Nothing traditional?

Oh, just dear Jeanne? Well, to be honest, I won't turn any of her admirers away, though I will admit that among the off-world contingent she has proved more popular than myself by far. Interesting, isn't it? She can't even talk!

[Please. Ply her with food and she's a friend for life.]

Traditional in what sense? I've done a variety of roles, though I do tend more toward... I would say European-inspired literary traditions, if that means anything to you at all. But at the same time, is there such thing as a "traditional" idol? We all have our quirks and unique things to offer; some more than others.
