Greetings. My name is Soundwave and I wish to teach you something from my world. I promise that this will be worth your while to learn as you can gain Chroma from it.

There is a language my kind use called Chirolinguistics. Alternatively known as speaking Hand. Simply put, it is a language performed through holding hands between two people.

[And here's attached a drawing showcasing a few examples of it.]

Only my kind can 'speak' Chirolinguistics as this requires stimulating the nerve by transmitting electric pulses in the fingers, wrists, and palms to the brain. However, I've created a special gauntlet that not only helps you to understand the language but also allowing the stimulation and transmitting of electric pulses without potentially burning off your nerves and frying you to death.

[The glem in her eyes are, admittedly, adorable. She must really love her country, despite what she's learned about her fate from the memory sharing... Ah, but now's not the time to be thinking of that again, and so she'll start spelling her word.]

[Soundwave pushes her palm ever so slightly, lightly brushing her index finger down over Marie's.]

"Fra-" [Then, on the other hand, three fingers brush upwards.] "-nce".

[She'll wait a moment for Marie to grasp the feelings, before repeating the gestures again.]

[Only thing it determines is what word will be spelled out. Soundwave's fingers shift slightly, lightly pushing Lobco's right hand.]

"Trust" ... That's how the word tends to feel.

[Soundwave makes the gesture once more, repeating the word.]

[ Marie closes her eyes, takes a few calm breaths, and concentrates on the feeling stirred by Soundwave sending the silent language to her.

France...

It wasn't very clear the first time, but on the repeat it gets better. She smiles brightly. ]

I-... I got it!

If Soundwave was the type, she'd let go temporarily to clap her hands together at her. But instead, she just proudly smiles at her friend, proud that she got the feeling down only with a couple of repeats.]

Care to try it yourself? The gauntlets will send the pulses automatically, so don't worry about knowing how to do that part.

[Lobco concentrates intensely on the motions that Soundwave is making, and the way they tap against her hand. She rolls over the steps a couple times in her head before making an attempt of her own.

She goes about it slowly, uncertainty as she moves her fingers but she manages to emulate it well.]

[ Hmmm. It'd be so embarrassing if she messed this up, after joyfully reading the message right. Like failing a writing test after doing so good at reading comprehension. ]

Okay, um... do I repeat France, or do you want me to send something else?

[Soundwave is patient. Even if she messes up, she can try again.]

Simply repeat... France.

[She'll do the gesture once more, before letting her friend do it herself.]

[ Well, alright, that one is now easy enough to repeat? Maybe? It's not the same as repeating something through her voice, but she shouldn't be failing this hard after paying this much attention.

No, she can't add this much pressure on herself. It's silly and unnecessary.

Closing her eyes, she takes a deep breath and then... sends the signal, a bit shaky on the deliver, but nonetheless correct. ]

She took them eagerly, slipping them on and flexing her fingers. They were still a little big on her but...

"Oh that's better. Just let me..."

Her body shifted subtly, the gauntlets moving more easily now. Though her arms were visibly longer and her teeth had completely changed resembling those more like a carnivore. What was more interesting is her sclera was now black.

She probably would have been a bit scary if she wasn't a complete snugglemonster dressed in sunny yellow.

"My hands are a little bigger when I'm not trying to look like a human." A pause. "I guess I'm still trying to look human a little bit since I'm not changing my physicality. Just my form. I'm not very good at it though. My form is fluid since I'm a spirit but satori youkai aren't exactly shapeshifters."

None the less she was holding out the gauntlets now, opening and closing her hands. "Now show me! Please? It looks fun!"

Good job. You got the sequences right on the first try.

[And she sounds kinda proud too, in her flat, monotone voice. The shakiness in the delivery was felt through inside her nervecircuits. While not quite an issue in itself, Marie got it correct after all, it's something she feels need to bring up.]

Try not to feel too nervous, Marie. This may be a lesson, but I want you to have... fun, most of all.

[Slow or not, she manages to get it right, on the first try too, and that's pretty impressive in of itself.

Soundwave nods her head.]

Impressive. You got the feeling of the word across.

[It's pretty difficult to startled someone with super hearing- Pidge's footsteps alone announced her arrival for him, but Soundwave only turns to address her when she clears her throat. Wouldn't want to weird her out by turning his head to her first before she could do anything to get his attention, something he's probably had done to some people before.

Anyways, he nods his head in greeting. The gauntlets mentioned earlier are resting on his laps.]

Greetings. I don't believe I caught your name. I'm Soundwave... though, I already mentioned that on the network, didn't I?

[Either way, just to make extra sure she knows...]

[ Hm... her nervousness was easy to pick up, and suddenly she feels bad for it, but is that going to make things better? No... so she tries to calm herself.

This is a fun thing! Fun...! Even just telling herself that is helpful enough to make her smile eventually. ]

Sorry... I have no idea where I am getting this pressure from, but knowing that I got the word right makes me more confident.

When Koishi's began transforming, the only reaction he had to it was raised brows and a head tilt. Sure, the sunny yellow dress ruined what semblance of fear her form may have going, but Soundwave does not get easily scared.

"Hm. Well, you certainly have an interesting form."

But nevermind the change, onto the lesson. He nodded and grabbed both Koishi's hand, fingers interlaced. Then, he started with lightly brushing a finger against Koishi's. Koishi should feel something tingly rushing inside her from her brushed finger to her head.

"Did you feel anything? How does it feel to you?"

That, and she wasn't exactly trying to be scary. "Thank you. Humans don't really like it though usually. But I understand. If they're cautious around a predator that just means they have some good sense."

She let her hand be grabbed, looking down at them and tilting her head. She blinked and jumped a little. "Oh! It was like a little zap. That's... Really interesting." She didn't seem to dislike it. In fact she only seemed more curious now.

[Have fun, Marie!! Even this bot who doesn't know fun is trying to have fun.]

That's good to hear. Though, if you want something to lift off the pressure, let me know what I can do.

[Opal would help, too. ... If she wasn't already sleeping soundly on Marie's lap.]

[ A good kitty... it's fine, hearing it snore helps her a bit. ]

No, it is alright, I just need to get accustomed to this! And... not think about the fact I am possibly going to mess something up.

He would've continued with the hand lesson, but what Koishi said got him to pause.

"Good sense. Hm. Are you implying you're a predator?"

This innocent creature he had come to know who loved to cuddle so much? Granted, Soundwave didn't know much about youkai, and Koishi never gave much of the impression that she was a predator, her current appearance notwithstanding.

"Well... Yeah. I'm actually mostly carnivorous." She blinked, tilting her head. A little thoughtful.

"Technically I'm a flesh eating youkai. But you don't have to be scared or anything. Most of the time you're metal and also this shiny place sends me boxes on my doorstep with special meat in it that has the aspects that actually nourish me. So I'm not going to unravel or anything. Don't worry." That was a lot of information and it didn't make a ton of sense.

"I see. Well, so long as you're not eating anybody."

He liked Koishi after all, and wouldn't want to hurt her.

Though that was indeed a lot to process. While true he wouldn't be scared of Koishi because of what he was made of and, although the avatar's all flesh, he doubted that Koishi would get any nutritious value out of her. However, what concerned him more than Koishi being a flesh eater was that the afromentioned 'shiny place' sending her 'special meat'. Whatever could she mean by that?

That got him thinking to himself for a while before realizing Koishi was probably waiting on him.

"Ah... My apologies, Koishi. Let's return to the hand lesson, shall we?"
