Greetings. My name is Soundwave and I wish to teach you something from my world. I promise that this will be worth your while to learn as you can gain Chroma from it.
There is a language my kind use called Chirolinguistics. Alternatively known as speaking Hand. Simply put, it is a language performed through holding hands between two people.
[And here's attached a drawing showcasing a few examples of it.]
Only my kind can 'speak' Chirolinguistics as this requires stimulating the nerve by transmitting electric pulses in the fingers, wrists, and palms to the brain. However, I've created a special gauntlet that not only helps you to understand the language but also allowing the stimulation and transmitting of electric pulses without potentially burning off your nerves and frying you to death.
If you are interested in learning how to speak Chirolinguistics, please contact me. Ah, and I've translated this in other languages, as well. English, German, French, and Japanese.
Thank you for your time.
[.... Yes. This is just a huge excuse for him to moonlace. Don't mind the fact that this post coincides with the Iris mooncycle.]

devices like these are easily hacked, the majority of modern spoken words are covertly recorded.
interesting.

so it's likely not practical.

[Like the perfect excuse for asking to hold hands.]
Do your people have a similar sort of language? One that uses hands to communicate.
no subject
there are non verbal languages, but they involve creating sequences of signs with one’s hands, rather than communicating through signals within touch

[ It's just holding hands... But she's nonetheless excited. ]
I would love learn something from your world, so you may count me on for the lessons!

[Honestly, he's glad Marie responded, she was one of the few people Soundwave wanted to teach Hand to... It'd be fun.]
Great. If you are available, I invite you to come over to my apartment to start our lesson.

[Because she doesn't want to put up where she lived in a public network, Marie will soon receive the address on a private message instead.]
See you there. I'll prepare some tea for you, in the meantime.

[And since this isn't someone he knows well, he'll relocate outside his apartment.]
If it's not too much trouble, I'll be at Caihong to start our lesson. We can schedule if you aren't available at the moment.

And I'm not doing anything else right now, so there's no need to reschedule. How long do you suppose this is going to take, though?
no subject
If it's learning the language, perhaps in 2 - 3 months before you could communicate in its basic form. Most who are learning it for the first time seems to have trouble with the vowels and sentence structure at first.
Don't worry if it would take you longer to understand and translate the pulses, especially if you aren't familiar with tactile languages.

That sounds fascinating, and very useful! I would be interested in learning.

It is indeed a useful form of communication- many practical use for it.
We can start the lesson now if are you available. If you don't mind a trip to Caihong, we can meet there.

Rabbit ears. Blue hair, red eyes. I'm hard to miss in this environment.
[A reason not at all due to being a giant robot.]

"Wow! That's kind of amazing I've never heard of people talking to each other like that."
[Audio]
It's only unique to my kind, apparently. I don't believe there are any other species with a tactile language. But now, I'm able to teach my language to others here.
