Greetings. My name is Soundwave and I wish to teach you something from my world. I promise that this will be worth your while to learn as you can gain Chroma from it.
There is a language my kind use called Chirolinguistics. Alternatively known as speaking Hand. Simply put, it is a language performed through holding hands between two people.
[And here's attached a drawing showcasing a few examples of it.]
Only my kind can 'speak' Chirolinguistics as this requires stimulating the nerve by transmitting electric pulses in the fingers, wrists, and palms to the brain. However, I've created a special gauntlet that not only helps you to understand the language but also allowing the stimulation and transmitting of electric pulses without potentially burning off your nerves and frying you to death.
If you are interested in learning how to speak Chirolinguistics, please contact me. Ah, and I've translated this in other languages, as well. English, German, French, and Japanese.
Thank you for your time.
[.... Yes. This is just a huge excuse for him to moonlace. Don't mind the fact that this post coincides with the Iris mooncycle.]

[And now, he waits patiently at the spot, watching the koi fishes swimming peacefully in the pond. At least, for now, he appears human- or a young woman, to be exact.]

...Soundwave? Hello! I'm Lobco.
no subject
Hello, Lobco. You must be here to learn Chirolinguistics.
["Her" voice is just as flat and impassive as her face is, but despite all that, she's pretty excited on the inside for this opportunity to teach some part of Cybertronian culture.]
no subject
She nods at their statement.]
Yes. I'm not very familiar with technology so apologies if there are some basic things I don't know or understand, but from your description it seemed like it'd be incredibly useful to know.
no subject
That's alright. Understanding the technology is not necessary to learn the language. [Turning to the duffel bag next to her, she unzips it and takes out a pair of white metallic gauntlets, holding them out to Lobco.] Wear these.
no subject
[Very good to know, otherwise she didn't imagine they'd be able to get very far. She takes the offered gauntlets with a curious eye, looking them over before slipping them on.]
no subject
[Whether Lobco answered or not, it's probably the only warning she gets before Soundwave hold both her hands and intertwines their fingers together. She makes a set gesture with her fingers, brushing them against Lobco's. The gauntlets should be working as intended, so, in addition to the chroma-making, Lobco should feel some sort of tingle of electricity traveling across her nerves- maybe a bit ticklish.]
How do you feel?
no subject
It feels nice. Different--but not bad. [She experimentally wiggles her fingers before returning them in place. She's very curious as to how exactly that works but she figures that would take time away from learning the language. Perhaps she'll ask some other time.]
no subject
[She feels a little tingle herself from Lobco's wiggling, but it came out as jumble. Though Soundwave may not know the exact workings or at least be able to explain well enough, he wouldn't mind answering any and all future questions.]
We can start by teaching you the vowels first so that you can speak words properly. Grammar and sentence structures will be for later lessons- I figured learning the vowels could be tricky for anyone unfamiliar with tactile language.
[Or, you know, anyone who can't freely transmit electric through their nerves.]
no subject
Ah well. Never too late to begin. She stops moving her hands and nods, showing that Soundwave has her full attention.]
Alright. I'm ready.
no subject
... Give me a word, Lobco. Any word will do.
[Favorite words or whatever.]
no subject
Trust?
no subject
"Trust" ... That's how the word tends to feel.
[Soundwave makes the gesture once more, repeating the word.]
Care to try it yourself?
no subject
She goes about it slowly, uncertainty as she moves her fingers but she manages to emulate it well.]
Like that?
no subject
Soundwave nods her head.]
Impressive. You got the feeling of the word across.
