well i have ears & a tail, and they're both pretty cool except for one thing 😩

anyone have a favorite place to get clothing for those who suddenly have tails that get in the way of their current clothes? i found one thing that works right now and it's not my fave. i can get something nice and if anyone wants to walk with me there i'll get you something as a treat, too

also if you have any favorite workout spots please share. i've mostly been running every morning and it's starting to get a little boring going on the same route every day.

and also i found an ice skating rink so that's pretty exciting and if anyone wants to learn anything i'm happy to show you some moves 😘

[ JJ approaches - dressed in clothes intended for a shopping trip - black jeans and a red tee. Simple, and easy. The jeans had been cut into slightly to accommodate the tail, which led him to believe that he would need things meant for it. It wasn't a bad job, but it was still awkward and weird and he didn't want to ruin something else. He had already dropped off his gear at the rink, since he knew toting it around while shopping would be silly. He didn't need his skates while he picked up clothes.

So, he knocks. ]

[Oh boy, oh boy! You would think that after the Cordis moon Reimi would be all shopped out, but it's also hard to turn down the opportunity to get out of the house and go walking around somewhere that isn't the same thirty meters of space over and over and over again, unchanging, for fifteen years and change.

She's still keeping up her current trend of avoiding pink clothes; her color palette of the day is coincidentally red, black, and white herself, with a pair of cutoff denim shorts as a neutral for good measure. She definitely doesn't want to go skating in a skirt, so she's got striped tights for warmth with jean shorts over, and a cute red top and jacket to go with it. Maybe it's pushing the boundaries a little; it's not a look that she's sure is really her. But it's just all part of her crusade to try new things until she finds something that is, and that's what makes this outing perfect for a test run of it.

The knock at the door prompts a bark from Arnold; a minute later, Reimi cracks the door open, peeking around the jamb.]

Hi! His Majesty, I presume?

[ He hears that dog, and he perks at it. He offers her a smile, though. Because, well, he's excited get out and get someone on the ice. He's excited to pick up some new, suitable clothes, too. Plus, a lunch in there. JJ liked to keep busy. It was the only way he functioned.

When he got bored, he got antsy. But he didn't really know what that was like. ]

I am. Princess, then?

[ Asking the important questions. He'll wait here until she steps out. It's rude to do otherwise. ]

What's your dog's name?

Haha, that's me! That's such a ridiculous nickname, you know...but I kind of like it!

[She pulls the door open wide enough that the interior of the apartment is visible, and so is Arnold, seated patiently by the door and sitting on his wagging tail.]

Mm, this is Arnold. He's a good boy, aren't you, Arnold?

[She reaches over automatically, scratching affectionately behind his ears.]

He came with me from home. We're pretty inseparable!

I like it, too!

[ He kneels, offering his hand to Arnold in order to pet him. You can bet if he sees a dog, he's immediately going to go for pets. Because, well, JJ likes them. ]

He's a really good boy.

[ Before he stands up again, he gives Arnold a couple more pets because he can't resist it. ]

That's really lucky! It would be pretty sad to be here without your pup.

[ Just smiles. ]

Is he coming with us? He can come if you want!

[Arnold, being Arnold, trots over to accept these pets in part because he is a good dog, and in part because it's essentially his job to scrutinize everyone that Reimi interacts with. His tail wags a few times, signaling approval of the attention.]

Really? You're okay with it, if he comes along?

[She does kind of hate to leave Arnold alone when she has to go places where a dog might not be welcomed. He always seems fine with it, but then, she doubts he would let her see it even if he was disappointed about not going.]

Well — great! He's really well-behaved, he won't make any trouble even if he's not on a leash. That's a fact!

[ JJ nods. Well, he likes the idea of bringing him with instead of leaving him behind. He looks down at Arnold then back towards Reimi. ]

Absolutely. He can come with us. He's better behaved than some people I've seen in places over the past couple of weeks.

[ Some of these moons have people going bananas. ]

I love dogs. Don't have any of my own, but he seems like good company!

He really is, I've had him since he was just a puppy. I really wanted one, and then it turned out that someone that my dad knew from work had just had a litter of golden retrievers. So we went to go pick one out and that's when I met Arnold! He was a real standout, too.

[She reaches down reflexively, scratching behind his ears.]

You're pretty lucky he's not the type to chase things, though! With those ears and that tail, he might've been pretty tempted!

He's a pretty good dog. You're right, I'm pretty lucky he's so good.

[ He has had some wild adventures around town. He steps away from the door so that Reimi and Arnold can step out and they can go on their adventure. ]

We should go, Princess. Arnold.

[ He tilts his head and winks. ]

Yeah, lets! C'mon, Arnold.

[Briskly, she shoos them all out the door and then carefully locks it behind her, pocketing the keys before hooking her thumbs in her belt loops as she starts to walk.]

Where are we off to first? Shopping, or lunch? I guess the rink should probably be last so we're not all tired out for the rest of it, right?

[ He smiles towards her, and nods. ]

Yes, a little shopping. Then lunch. And maybe a couple shops before the rink. Too much activity on a full stomach is...

[ Entirely unpleasant. ]

Level 1, I think, then.

[ He moves his feet as he starts with her, making sure to pace himself so he stays next to her as he moves. He glances towards Arnold occasionally, impressed with him. Maybe he'll get him a treat along the way. As they make their way towards the first store: ]
