The best thing about text is that no one can detect the uncertainty in his words or in how he phrases them. But maybe his texting is a little too perfect. In a world of shorthand and acronyms, written habits remain habits and do not die easily.]

As for a smithy, I suppose it depends on what you're looking for, exactly.
I can work with metal, if you need something repaired or crafted.
But my applications are a bit specific.

Unfortunately I don't do weaponry, but I know someone who does— you could contact the engineer Dell Conagher; he has a workshop down in level 3.
My applications are often for things like prosthetic limbs or occasionally armor.
I could repair most things given to me, as well, but I'm afraid I don't know how to make swords.
I'm a doctor, so I focus on items that would help or protect others.

( Which doesn't mention her nanotechnology, but that's rendered essentially useless here, so it doesn't warrant mentioning. )

I might not look very human under Cordis, but I wouldn't exactly call myself a beast. The mental effects can take a bit of getting used to, but it's no more 'madness' than any other mood shift. It's not as though we lose our higher reasoning.

If you mean changing shape, then not at all. But scientifically speaking, humans are classified as animals. What separates us from beasts is our ability to act in ways that run counter to our instincts and base desires.

Moonblessings might lend us a bit more toward hedonism and indulgence, but they don't remove our ability to act rationally. I grow the fur and teeth of a fox, but you won't find me hunting down someone with rabbit traits for a snack.

I've not seen one but I was told that there are some shops in Level 3 that are able to work with metal. Maybe they can help you get a weapon.

Begrudgingly so. We are all beasts at our core. This place enjoys turning that into the most literal translation.

[Unsurprisingly, Sephiroth is not here to debate the existence of beasts prowling the city when the moons buffet down their influence from overhead, metaphorical or otherwise. It is the latter part that interests him; though he is already in possession of a sword, future upkeep may or may not necessitate knowing where to bring it.

If you find a reputable place, share the name. There are several here with their own weapons who might require the work of a smithy in the future.

It would seem there is an engineer on one of the lower levels. I have not paid visit yet, and intend to. Perhaps I will have more suitable information for you following that.

[Admittedly, Caim could always use another body to discuss weaponry with. Well, at least as much as Caim can discuss anything.]
