video.
( the video feed cuts on and a very pretty man in traditional clothing fills the frame, a serious look in his eyes. )
For one day only, I am benevolently offering my services as a seer, so to speak.
You see, I can glimpse into the future in short bursts and divine what awaits you. The spirits are restless and have compelled me to offer up my services, free of charge, to all who may desire them.
So please, supply your name and your favorite fruit and allow me to read your future.
( this, of course, has all been a lie. but damn does it sound convincing and very prettily and eloquently spoken. )

[ he laughs at this seemingly without care, like he wasn't always prepared for worst case scenarios or something ]
Have you been yielding good fortunes on this day?

you know, he won't ask. )
As with most things, it's been both good and bad. The fates are fickle, you know.

Oh I know, when you have three varying fates it's not easy for them to settle on one or the other. From what I've read, it's difficult for them to agree on much of anything.
But fortunate for many here, you have the ability to decipher that, how wonderful~

Three varying fates? I don't quite follow. Would you care to expand on that?
( information fishing, it's a great pastime. 10/10 would recommend. )

Oh this is exciting~
My favourite subject is that of Greek mythology, there's so much to be learned from such old tales. In any case, in these stories you had the Moirai, the three fates who were so powerful that not even Zeus himself could control their decisions.
There was Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos... They were three weaving goddesses whose sole purpose was to assign mortals with destinies upon birth--now here is where it gets tricky. In some tellings Clotho spun the thread of life, Lachesis would measure it's allotted length and Atropos would cut it off with a pair of shears.
In other tellings they were each associated with the past, present and future. It's really quite interesting that there are so many conflicting accounts, but it all comes down to the same thing.
Now I wonder, what sort of fate you're able to unravel for the people~

he hums thoughtfully, as if he's been parsing through every single word that italy's been saying. in reality, he's just focused in on bits and pieces. )
It sounds quite like the world, here. With the three moons and three blessings, don't you think?

Oh? If it’s moon goddesses you’re curious about they have those too... Artemis, Hecate and Selene... though if you really want to go further back you can look to the titaness Phoebe. It’s really quite fascinating if you get into the similarities you can draw.
Artemis was a goddess of the hunt, Hecate the goddess of witchcraft because of her knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, and Selene who was the personification of the moon itself—you really should take the time to read up on this, there’s a lot of good stuff.

( he’s highly amused. frankly, he knows a few places for books, but new suggestions couldn’t hurt. that, and this man seems deeply focused and enthusiastic about this. )

This world doesn't really carry these books, so I got some from my home but they're not translated.
I suppose I could request to get some translated in another language that would be easier to understand though~
