I don't think I've ever used a forum this big before, but I have something I'd like to ask, so here I go!

Is there anyone here who likes to work out?
Usually I get up early to get my exercise in, but I haven't really settled on a routine I'm satisfied with yet.
Going for a run in an unfamiliar place is fun, but it's also a little lonely lol

So I was thinking about putting together a circuit around the groves or the beach!
It'll be mostly endurance rather than strength training, I build muscle quickly and if I go back home with too much I'll get scolded...

Ah, right! And one more thing! I was taking a look at this place

Isn't it cool? I've just been practicing in the park lately, but with TRIGGER's activities picking up, I want to get serious about it.
Is there anyone else interested? It's such a big space that I thought it'd be fun to have more people go! I have sets I'd like to practice, but you'd be welcome to do whatever you'd like, of course. Or I can put together new choreography!
I can bring snacks and drinks, too.

There it is again! Real superheroes, saving the world...incredible. I'd say the press was deserved, in that case.

I may not understand feats like that at all, but I can understand why the world would want to see you.

Have you met other superheroes here?

And yeah, I get it too. We were supposed to be a symbol of something good. A sign of hope, or at least protection. I never got completely used to all that attention, though.

It's an honorable thing in its own way, to not want the spotlight so much despite deserving the chance to stand in it.

Coming here must have been a huge culture shock to you. Are there no people with powers in the world you're from?

Yeah, it was. Waking up on the moon was a lot by itself, then I got around to meeting other Moonblessed...

[ he has to laugh a little at it in real time. it's been a process, though he's adapting in what ways he can. ]

Nobody has any powers. To me, that was all stuff you'd see on TV, or in movies.
I played a couple roles like that, even. Now it seems a bit ironic.

Yeah, that has to be pretty surreal.

The moonblessings do give everyone some mild powers, though. [ He refrains from using the word "magic," even now. ] Have you tried them out?

I felt like there wasn't much use in digging my heels in, because there I was, living it. Accepting it and moving on seemed like the right choice, you know?

Sanguis scared me at first.

Yeah, it's hard to deny something that you're seeing with your own eyes. I know how that is.

You're also Sanguis? I think it's reasonable to be scared of it.

It's not something I'd wish on anyone, but I'm glad to have people nearby who understand. Getting settled here has gone easier because of that.

Yeah. I might be enhanced and I've seen a lot during my career, but moons that make people get animal parts and affect the way they act? That's a new one.

Superstition about the moon doesn't even start to cover it. Like, "Oh, must be a full moon!" and things like that.

Enhanced? Because you're a superhero?

Yeah. I've got enhanced strength, speed, resilience, senses, that kind of thing.

Makes sense, if you're protecting the entire world. Were you born with it?

No. Actually, I volunteered for a government experiment, and these enhancements were the result.

You volunteered? That's an incredible thing to do. Did you know this would be the result?

I had an idea of what I was getting into, but since the serum hadn't worked on anyone before me, I didn't know what the full extent of it would be.

It sounds like a pretty big risk to take. It sounds like you've really got a handle on things, so...was it all worth it?

To be honest, I think I'm still trying to figure that out.

But I can't imagine my life going another way at this point.

I don't think that's a bad thing. No life can be lived by only experiencing the good things...or the predictable ones. At least that's how I feel.

Of course, that might fall flat coming from me.
I'm someone who'd have to depend on strength like yours.

That doesn't mean your opinion isn't worth hearing. And I think you have a point.

There are definitely some things I missed out on, but I got plenty more in return.

I appreciate that. And yeah, I understand that, in a way.
In that case, I'd believe it's worth being proud of.

Of course. Since you've been in the public eye, do you have fans, back home?

Yeah, me and the rest of the team are pretty well known.

[ Steve's not sure how many fans he has now that he's been labeled a fugitive of the state, but he's not going to reference any of that in a text conversation with someone he's never met. ]

Then I'm sure there are more people like me out there that'd put their confidence in you too.
