So today is my birthday. Which means it's normal to get spoiled and praised, right?

[Sitting up he runs his fingers over a couple of keys on the keyboard, it plays a small tune. Until he leans back in his chair.]

Does anyone know what kind of things are normal when celebrating a birthday here?

Or, even better, what did you do back home for your birthday? I'm curious what kind of things might be fun to do today.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure my answer would give you any new ideas. I have dinner with friends and family. I don't really do anything special beyond that.

And don't know about here, but back home I don't really celebrate mine. It is common to give gifts, though. Or just go out with a friend.

I usually don't celebrate my birthday, but during my last one, me and my friends had a small party. Although admittedly I kind of forgot about my birthday, like an idiot. It was just a small thing with cake and all that and we just hung out, I guess?
