Perhaps your world lacks such a variety of people, but dragons, demons, devils and the like were known for being able to shift into human guise in mine.

It's not as strange as it sounds; there's even a race of people descended from such couplings. As well as demons that regularly take on humanoid appearances to seduce and corrupt mortals. You hopefully get the idea.

not exactly. there's another race called the faunus. they look MOSTLY human, but have one animal trait on their body. so like... a person, but with cat ears. or a person, but with tusks. that kind of thing.

other than that, there's the grimm. but they're monsters that just eat people nonstop, so i don't think that's what you're talking about.
