((Edit Oct. 2nd: Had a few people ask last night if I'm doing them still and yes! I'll do them until the interest dies down and have been convinced there needs to be a concert for musical sorts around here and those who want to help or learn. [ Karkat yawned once again; a long, lazy stretch of his jaw. Those certainly are some fangs, it was lucky for the both of them that the troll hadn't chomped down on Dave's poor arm. His head raised with another, soft series of clicks from low in his chest. Yes. That is some nice, friendly affection. He demands more.

One, soft grunt of acknowledgement later, and Karkat resumed kneading just shy of Dave's knee. He is double teaming his efforts with both hands now, each flexing in alternating beats. His heavy eyes have shut once again and the troll seemed barely at the cusp of sleep. It was difficult to tell whether or not he understood what was being said, or had just made an affirming noise out of habit. ]

[[Yeah he's glad Karkat didn't shred the hell out of his arm, it's true. So glad. Doesn't matter, he still wouldn't blame him. Waking up out of a big scare is a huge issue for the poor guy. Dave hates nightmares and with Karkat's classpect, he's figuring they're knightmares instead. He's seen a lot of shit and a lot of his friends die by the hands of other friends. That alone has to fuck with a gu— oh.

That's hands by his knee. Thigh really. Karkat hasn't said no homo so Dave will say it in his mind. That way he won't feel so god damn bad when he lets Karkat continue to do just that. The clicks are something he... doesn't understand but gets the concept behind and continues to pet through his hair, tugging the red cape back around them both.]]
