Hello, fellow Moonblessed! My name is Sonia Nevermind and I am here to remind you all that this is October and therefore, we have to address the fact that there is a holiday that is coming up that MUST be celebrated properly! At the end of the month, Halloween will be here and to let that pass by without any sort of party would be devastating to the morale of this world.

To remedy this before it becomes an issue, I would like to have a party on October 31st. Everyone attending must wear costumes and be ready to watch lots of scary movies, play games, and eat appropriate foods.

[From just off-screen there's the sound of another voice clearing his throat, as if humbly requesting to interject.]

It might be best to inform them of the festivities happening earlier in the month first, Sonia.

[Sonia's face turns into a scrunched up frown as she focuses the device to show Tokoyami's very distinct features.]

Which festivities? Your birthday party is the day before, yes? I was under the impression that we would be sending them invitations personally.

[Though he seems initially a bit put off at being abruptly placed on camera (one might say his feathers were ruffled) his composure recovers quickly, eyes closing as he folds his arms coolly ('coolly') over his chest.]

We're already here. We may as well do it all at once. Besides, aren't you forgetting that your birthday comes well before mine?

[There's a rather poignant pause before she replies, her voice a little less excited than previously heard.]

No, I have not. I was going to hand deliver invitations to my friends and acquaintances, but you are right that we are here. [The device swings back to the former princess.] On the 13th, all of my friends and acquaintances are invited to my home for a small get-together to celebrate the anniversary of my birth. Please wear your costumes.

[From just behind Sonia, Tokoyami's head can be seen leaning into view.]

I'll be holding a similar function for my own annual rite of birth on the 30th. Similarly, I urge those attending to arrive in costume. This is a dark season worthy of such efforts.

i'm glad for it. it was admittedly disappointing that you weren't going to be able to attend.

i should have expected that would be your first thought. naturally, i wouldn't object to anything you might suggest. this is your expertise.

but i've found a few deathrock bands around here that i think you'd be really into?
it'd all probably go really well with a halloween setup
some post-punk stuff would probably work too depending on the band i think

unless you want the whole thing to have kind of a harsher vibe than that? i probably have some metal kicking around that i could bring
what do you think?

i see no reason we cannot experience some of each genre.

...though i'm curious about the deathrock that specifically came to your mind... i think that would do well to suit the aesthetic.

deathrock isn't TOO big around here but i've managed to scrounge up like four or five bands despite it

this place is way more about the whole retrowave thing they've got going on, it's kind of crazy

it's strange that the music here even aligns with the tastes that we have. i would have expected that, when traveling to an alien world, music might take on an altogether different form.

Excuse me, Jiro-san, but if you are unable to enjoy quite the same sort of atmosphere as Tokoyami-san enjoys, we can certainly make accommodations for you to come early or later. Whichever you wish. It doesn't seem fair that you should miss out on the party because of something like that.

Oh, I can understand that you don't wish to partake of any of the horror elements. That is perfectly acceptable. I know that we both tend to like things that are of the gruesome and dark side of entertainment, but I assure you that it wouldn't be much to make a spot for you and others that share your view so that you're not exposed. Or we can just add those elements in later after you've left.

I get the feeling that Fumikage-san would appreciate it greatly if all of his friends showed up, even if for a small amount of time, on his birthday.

We do get along exceptionally well. However, I'm not sure about the vegetable reference.

It's not trouble at all. I would be more than happy than to make accommodations for anyone who is important to Fumikage-san, especially on a day that is supposed to be about celebrating his existence.

As for motion-sensing, we can turn that sort of thing off. I have two empty bedrooms, so I have no issue with setting one up as a space safe from some of the more... active decorations.

Please do not worry. As I stated, with empty bedrooms in my apartment, I am not at all worried about finding a place where you will be free of anything that might attempt to attack you.
