[From what Nijimura and Atsushi has told him about Akashi, Himuro believed it. While he's worked through it, it's still a sore point for him that Atsushi can pick up things when he puts in only a little work while Himuro can spend time studying and doesn't achieve the same results. He'll just add extra fruit when that happens and it makes him feel better. Besides, it's good that they do have two resources, and he can bribe one with sweets.]

Sounds like we have a pretty good start, having someone who's passed the exams already will be a very useful resource.
