Okay, maybe start with a table and chairs? A place to sit and eat is always nice.

A friend's offered me a table. Issue is, I have no idea what it looks like. What if the chairs I get don't match at all?

Honestly, if you're concerned about interior design, that would be an issue. If you don't, you put whatever you want. My house had a whole couch that barely matched anything in our house because we got it on sale and it was just comfy. Looks don't always matter!

Looks don't always matter, but this time they do. When I got here, there was wallpaper pasted all over with stars and moons that I simply didn't care for. I tore it all off and painted over the remains. I think I'd like to keep it simple, but then again I've never been the one furnishing my own home. So I can't really say.

Fair enough.

What do you want, then? Simple? Rustic? Modern? There's a whole lot of styles you can choose from, here.

I don't know what any of that means. Let's go with rustic.

Okay, rustic. I'm no expert on interior design but rustic is a lot like what I have going on in my family's home! Lots of wood. Everything feels a little old in a nostalgic way. Handmade furniture. More personal touches. Kind of country style I guess? Lots of warm colors, like browns and reds!

Sounds like home. I'm taking notes for when I go looking for furniture next time.

Do you think you'd find something like that in a church?

I think so? There are different kinds of churches but the ones I know at home are small and old and filled with wooden altars, wooden pews, just simple stuff. So yeah, definitely rustic.

Just making sure. I won't be fitting any altars or pews in here, but I'll try to keep it in that style. Thanks for the help. Maybe I'll get back to you when it's all finished, what do you think?
