Hmm... I have never claimed to be particularly creative with names.

[You can excuse Grimmchild being named that because it's an inherited thing, kind of, but 'Grimm Troupe' is inexcusable.]

Autumn's cute. A bit on the nose, but that's fine. Fall is here, after all.

My other ideas were more on the nose.

I think with naming plants, you kind of have to be on the nose.

You shouldn't be hard on yourself with being creative with names. I think your names are just fine.

Everyone in my family line dating back thousands of years has been named Grimm. My troupe is named the Grimm Troupe.

Nothing wrong with passing down a good name. There's a whole lot of Johns in my family.

Is only the name passed between you? My line passes quite a bit more than that.

What do you mean? Like all the Grimms are actually one person?

[hagrides]

No, and yes. I am not my predecessors, but I carry their memories within me as if they were my own.

Dance and die and live forever. Such is our fate.

Oh.

Yeah, not quite like that. We pass down stories from previous generations and stuff, but its not like we literally have their memories. Just what people remember of them.

That sounds tiring, though. :(

So it is. Yet we continue, because we must. My role in this story was cast before my grandparent's grandparent's grandparent was born.

Wow. And you can't like leave that role at all?

It is not as though my role does not allow some variation. I have friends, hobbies. Choices.

But the troupe goes where it is needed, and my end is claimed by the Ritual. Nothing more and nothing less.
