Hello, this is Miles Edgeworth.

Firstly, I would like to post an update in reference to my previous network broadcast, located here.

I did forward everyone's submissions to the Office of the Magister Scientiae and have received a response from Magister Alcmene that the government is doing everything they can to best settle us into their society. Those struggling with the cultural differences, however, are recommended to make use of the local libraries.

While I personally deem this response inadequate, the fact remains that we are guests in their world, and there is still no solid evidence of foul play vs. us being accidental additions to their society. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to take this matter further, I would be happy to hear them.

All of those who provided submissions should now be in the receipt of coffee vouchers for the Lunar Scientiae cafe, a poor substitute for an actual resolution.

Secondly, I am planning on signing up for the Moon Knights soon, and would be grateful to hear about other people's experiences with the organization.

Finally, I am in the market for a roommate. Messy individuals with a propensity for sticking their noses in other people's business need not apply.

[bratworth]

( Look, Edgeworth wouldn't know happiness if it was shouting 'objection' in his face, so he can't exactly talk. )

Yes, the afternoon is suitable. What time works best for you?

[painalty]

[They'll get along way too well.]

Around 3 or 4 PM should suffice. I look forward to our meeting, Mr. Edgeworth.

[The following day, Edgeworth will find this man seated at the cafe, waiting patiently and reading a book. He looks up and lowers his book when Edgeworth comes in. Sanson - or Charles, as he introduced himself - gives a polite smile and a nod.]

Good afternoon.

[bratworth]

( He recognises the man from when they had met during the excavation on Iris. He stands opposite Charles and holds out a hand for him to shake. )

It's good to see you again.

[painalty]

Likewise, Mr. Edgeworth. [He stands up to shake Edgeworth's hand.] I hope you've been well.

[All things considered.]

Please, have a seat.

[bratworth]

( He feels the steady thrum of Chroma exchange as their hands meet, and it's all he can do to hold onto the other man's hand for a respectable amount of time. He sits back down, inclining his head as he does so. )

Well enough, all things considered. Yourself?

[painalty]

I'm relieved that our last mission is over, so yes, I'm fine.

[He also sits back down as primly as possible and hides a soft chuckle behind one hand.]

Anyway, I too would prefer a roommate who isn't nosy. [The messy part he could live with.]

[bratworth]

Have you had trouble with nosy roommates in the past?

( There's something akin to an expression of relief on his face as he sinks back into his chair. )

And indeed. If I ever see another jellyfish again, it will be too soon.

( Someone's not going to enjoy the Iris cycle... )

[painalty]

[Apparently. Charles is going to conveniently not mention that the woman he moonlaces with regularly is under the Iris cycle and, in fact, turns into a jellyfish.]

Oh, no. [At least, not here in Lunatia. But back in Chaldea, quite a few Servants were notorious for being nosy.] I just value my privacy, and I don't really enjoy talking about myself.

[bratworth]

( He has to appreciate the man's honesty. )

That makes two of us. Are you living with anyone else at the moment?

[painalty]

[He shakes his head.]

No. I don't even own a pet, if you were going to ask.

[But it's not something he's against! Pets don't ask difficult or invasive questions.]

[bratworth]

I was not, but I would not have minded if you did. ( A beat. ) Although I'm more of a dog person myself. I ask because we should discuss whose apartment we are going to move into.

You are more than welcome to join me in mine.

( One of his hands scrounges around in his pocket for the coffee vouchers, and he pulls two of them from their booklet, and he slams them down onto the table. )

[painalty]

[Charles lets out a chuckle despite their serious conversation.]

It seems you and I have a lot more in common than we thought. I'm also a dog person.

[He blinks when the vouchers are just..slammed onto the table, although he can guess that it was borne from frustration over the reception of everyone's submissions. And once again, he resumes his formal, almost grave disposition.]

Anyway, I can move into your apartment. I don't own a lot of things, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

[bratworth]

( Edgeworth can't help but smirk at the admission. )

I suppose neither of us will complain if the other brings a puppy home one day, then.

In any case, that is amenable to me. You are welcome to move in whenever you are ready.

( His gaze drops to the vouchers. )

We should make good use of these considering the trouble it took for me to get them. Coffee?

[painalty]

Yes, thank you. [While he's normally a tea person, coffee can be good, and it's free! Not to mention, even after getting their roommate woes out of the way, they now have room for more casual conversation.

As casual as it can get with these two, anyway.] I can move in tomorrow, or within this week at the latest.

[bratworth]

( Edgeworth waves a server over so that they may order their coffees. )

Whichever works best for you, it doesn't bother me. Just let me know what your plans are so I know when to expect you.

( It's not that Edgeworth's up to anything suspicious in his apartment; he'd just rather not be taken unawares. )

[painalty]

Shall I send you a message the day before I move in? I do also need to check my work schedule.

[He understands how Edgeworth must feel.]

[bratworth]

( Edgeworth nods. )

That's fine.

What do you do for work in this place?

[painalty]

I work three days at a clinic at Level 2, and two days at a school clinic. But sometimes I'm called in for an extra shift, or an emergency.

[Or when people just needed a doctor who also had healing powers.]

[bratworth]

It sounds like you're keeping yourself busy.

( That's good. He approves. Their coffees soon arrive on the table and Edgeworth brings his to his lips to take a quick sip. )

Not as terrible as I was expecting.

[painalty]

[He likewise sips his own coffee and shrugs.]

If they didn't exert enough effort in brewing the free coffee, they would only be giving us more reasons to complain.

[bratworth]

What do you think they would do if we were to complain?

( A beat. )

Provide us with more coffee vouchers?

[painalty]

[The corners of his mouth twitch as though he's trying to stifle laughter.]

Probably. I don't know how far it would take for them to actually warn us, or get annoyed.
