[The first thing visible in this video is some kind of very bright surface obscuring the lens. Then it rearranges itself, and it becomes obvious that someone with a colossal mess of red tentacles for hair that are also glowing luminescent pink in areas is holding his phone at an appropriate distance with said tentacles. Ren looks a bit chaotic, between that and the purplish-white patches glowing on his skin, the purple nails and lips, but he seems cheerful enough, waving at the screen and then waving one of the two additional tentacles trailing from his shoulder blades.]
Hello everyone...I saw a couple of people with this new moonblessing already, and I'm starting to get kind of curious now. We've had that dragon moonblessing, the kitsune, and now this, right? Weird ones that just showed up once and then never again so far. But I'm wondering how many people actually got each of them - I got all three, but I think a lot of people might've only gotten one or two or only been around for one or two, right? Since I think they might've been caused by different things...
[He taps his chin a in a dramatic sort of thoughtful motion.] So I guess what I'm asking is, how many of those weird moonblessings did everyone get? And which ones? Even if you didn't get any of those three, it'd be interesting to know who managed to avoid all of them too...also, if you got pictures of yourself with them, you should definitely show me pictures. I want to see what everyone ended up looking like.
[He claps his hands together to one side of his face in a cutesy, inviting sort of manner. He mostly wants to see if there's a pattern (and potentially confirm his theories on what caused each of them, because he's a lot more sure than he's letting on), but he's not going to act like he's not just curious to see what changes people ended up going through and if they were as radically different as normal moonblessings could be.]

...I might even be next, when my moons are around. I have one of those marks too.
no subject
You mean this thing? I was wondering if that had something to do with this...though I guess that doesn't really help figuring out what part of that whole mess last month the mark came from...

[ Konoka had been surprised, mostly because she felt silly about the fact that she was staring at someone who pointedly did not use a Dusklight bracelet (to her knowledge), and yet had tentacle hair now.
It was likely because, as she implied earlier, she expected the tentacles to be a much darker shade than the red ones that covered his head. ]
Mmmm, I think it was the jellyfish. Or the Korokiel. I know people who ran into any of those got the mark.
no subject
It must not have been much exposure needed, though...I only really ran into the jellyfish down here, before I went up to the moon.

[ She seemed more embarrassed than displeased about that memory. Hell, she didn't look displeased at all. ]
no subject
Don't start getting lost in memories, it definitely can't have been that part...I'm not sure I got stung by a jellyfish either, but if they managed to get down here maybe they had their own kind of magic as well.

After all, weren't the jellies and the Korokiels from the same army? Tempeste's arrival was the thing that set them off.
no subject
[If enough of them made the trip or they multiplied quickly enough, it'd explain the number that popped up in the city.]
no subject
Seems likely.
So I wonder, what's the commonality between all these 'special' transformations?

[His finger moves through the air a bit vaguely, though, as if he's still thinking about something.] But if you think about it, this one definitely fits Iris, and the nine-tails thing was meant to be some kind of aspect of Cordis, wasn't it? I wonder if the dragons are linked to Sanguis.
no subject
So it seems like each of the bonus transformations so far are linked to the three moons. Perhaps the legends they speak of have other forgotten animals linked to them?
no subject
That could be it. And I guess each of them had a lingering culture associated with it, too...the dragons and the foxes we met, and the Korokiels probably have something of their own too that we just didn't get the chance to see.
[Considering their obsessive following of the jelly queen and all.]

[ Konoka's excitement gave way to thoughtfulness. ]
...though what does it mean if they're connected like that though...

[Ren's more the type to let things unfold naturally, but in this case, the information they have on the planet's history is limited. He feels there's a good chance it might not actually be possible to work out exactly what it means yet.]

I'll just file those thoughts away for now. I wonder what else we have to look forward to this month.

[It's probably been the most action-packed few months since he got here, honestly.]
