[Ace and Luffy are sitting together, and Ace has a serious expression on his face. This is kind of important in his opinion, they've got to figure out who their potential allies and enemies are here. Not that being a pirate is a promise of alliances, or Marines a promise of a threat, but it's still good to have a base to go off of. And to Ace and Luffy, piracy is freedom. And the Marines stand for things far worse.]

So this is a roll call. If you're a pirate, let us know. If you're a Marine? Let us know faster.

[Luffy laughs, waving at the camera. He sticks his little finger into his nose, and thinks for a second.]

I haven't seen marines here, or other pirates. Do people here know what a pirate is? [He laughs again.] We're pirates! And brothers!

[Ace's expression softens considerably, and he smiles. He's weak against Luffy's antics, even more so now that they've been separated and reunited.] Yeah, that's right. And we wanna know who else lived a life of piracy back in their home world. Especially if you're from our home world.

[Ace is silent for a moment. He's not sure what to even say to that. It's one thing to have someone he's fought beside for years want to help him. But this is an entirely different situation and he doesn't understand why anyone is ever good to him.]

You don't have any reason to do that. You barely know me! Why would you go out of your way to fight for someone that you hardly know?

[Why indeed? Shar had her reasons and kept silent for a moment.]

I saw everything as if I was part of the bloody fray. Everyone who risked their lives to save you no matter the odds to the last words you spoke before your departure. That brief moment was enough to tell me. You were, nay, you are a man of honor, a comrade, and a loving brother. You are a good man for my eyes, Ace. The Echo shows me no lies.

And... mayhap I've dealt with fire hot as Ifrit.

[She slides that last part in.]

I-[Ace actually turns the video off, he doesn't deal with these memories well or these feelings and he wants Shar to see him as strong and respectable. Or respectable enough all things considered. He's touched and he's hurt and he's confused all in one motion. And he words are leaving him conflicted.

And he cannot see himself as a man worth anything, even now. Even dying for his brother wasn't good enough to cleanse his dirty blood.

About three or four minutes later he comes back on, once he's calmed down a little.] What's Ifrit?

[Well damn, she didn't mean to scare the man. Ah well, suppose she will worry later if and when Marines decides to drop in this shard. So she sets her phone down for now.

A while later, she picks it up again by the sound of Ace's voice. ...Out of all the damn speech he had to remember that one. Shar shut her eyes recollecting that memory, regretting mearly mentioning its name.]

Ifrit is a primal, a fire god worshipped by the Amalj'aa tribe.

[It's just a mild touch of PTSD, nothing to worry about.

He sees her reaction though, and doesn't like it. He's not going to make someone uncomfortable that he likes if he doesn't have to.]

If you don't wanna talk about it, it's fine.

[Gods Ace, if only you can see what this girl's been through.]

Primals are dangerous foes and a threat in my world. They have the power to temper anyone. With enough crystals and aether, they can be summoned as many times as the tribe wish, anyone can honestly.

[Now she kinda wished she was back to the old times.]

So if they're a threat, and dangerous, why do people summon 'em? It sounds like it's kinda iffy. Am I missing something important here?

[Well, he isn't wrong.]

Either protection, power or both. Most tribes and citizens don't coexist. When one feels threatened by the enemy or simply want to eliminate, why not summon their own Eikon to do the task?

I've seen Eikons turn against who prayed for them.

So anyone who summons one is really playing a risky game. And there's a flame one, you said? How strong is it?

Aye. He's a tough one.

[Did she mention she killed it? She doesn't remember. The way she talks about Ifrit's strength does lighten the mood. Her first primal, never she felt so alive when they fought.]

Fast and its flames are as hot as the blazing sun.

[God, she's smiling.]

Either it will ignite or dash through its foe only to leave them to ash.

It sounds fierce. And amazing. Your world is full of amazing stuff, isn't it? I'm kinda jealous that I won't get to see it for myself. [He's not jealous, per say, but it's like hearing about something from a book. He can't quite comprehend it fully, after all.]

If there was a way to show you, I'd do it in a beat. [She missed fighting primals and the challenges there. Lately, it felt as if things once again became more complicated. Talking about her world reminds her of how important it is to protect it. If she didn't say it before, she was about to. Shar lived for challenges.]

There are other primals I've witnessed and slain such as Titan. Gods too many landslides.
