[Ace and Luffy are sitting together, and Ace has a serious expression on his face. This is kind of important in his opinion, they've got to figure out who their potential allies and enemies are here. Not that being a pirate is a promise of alliances, or Marines a promise of a threat, but it's still good to have a base to go off of. And to Ace and Luffy, piracy is freedom. And the Marines stand for things far worse.]

So this is a roll call. If you're a pirate, let us know. If you're a Marine? Let us know faster.

[Luffy laughs, waving at the camera. He sticks his little finger into his nose, and thinks for a second.]

I haven't seen marines here, or other pirates. Do people here know what a pirate is? [He laughs again.] We're pirates! And brothers!

[Ace's expression softens considerably, and he smiles. He's weak against Luffy's antics, even more so now that they've been separated and reunited.] Yeah, that's right. And we wanna know who else lived a life of piracy back in their home world. Especially if you're from our home world.

Naofumi Iwatani. I guess there's no harm in calling me the Shield Hero around here either, since I doubt anybody here has any idea who or what that even is.

[He doesn't know what long names are, they're too complicated for him.]

Woah what's a shield hero?

[resenting]

It's Naofumi.

There's a lot of legendary chosen summoned hero garbage, but basically it means I fight with a special shield.

But that's too long!

[Luffy smiles brightly.]

That's cool! I'm made out of rubber so tat's how I fight!

[He must have misheard that, he thought he heard something about being made of rubber.]

[He stretches his face with one hand, then lets it go, the skin snapping back in place.]

First time I've seen a skill like that...

[Luffy laughs and nods.]

I'm the only one that has it!

Well, great for you then. I'm sure that has its uses.

[Without seeing it in action he has litterally no idea what they might be, but hey.]

Well I can't get hurt by blunt things! Including bullets!

Being rubber makes you bulletproof?

I can see how that'd come in handy for a pirate. Fair enough, I'm impressed.

So you can do blunt, but you can't do pointy...

So I see. Are you sure it's okay to tell a stranger your weaknesses? What if I ended up being your enemy?

[He's gonna show off his guns now, look, be amazed, it'll lean muscle in here.]

I'll pass, I don't really get anything out of fighting with you.

Well, if you wanted to help power up my shield, I probably wouldn't mind.

Doesn't fighting give us the tingly feeling too?

You saying that fighting counts as moonlacing somehow?

I think so! It's touching people, right? So if you're training with someone, then why wouldn't it count?

Yeah, guess you've got a point there. Well, you've given me some new information, so I'll be greatful for that at least.
