Question: If someone tells you to do whatever's necessary in order to ensure you don't crystalise from chroma deprivation, what does that mean to you?
[ help him prove his point that people's first assumption isn't "have sexual relations!" or help disprove his point... ]

permanon THANKS REN
Either way, thank you for your response. My intention making such a statement is along those lines, in "anything at all," within a person's levels of comfort. As you state, one cannot be forced to do what they will not incline themselves to do.
Since you bring it up, you've noticed a number of Moonblessed who abstain from moonlacing? Do they take part before hitting dangerous chroma deprivation levels, or have you noticed any trends on that end of things?
he's helping
some of them adapt okay but some keep complaining for months which i think is pretty silly (・ω・`=)ゞ
i've definitely noticed a lot who throw fits about having to moonlace ((*´艸`*))
but most of them realise that letting it get that far isn't worth it
or at worst they seem to make arrangements with people from their own world \⍩⃝/
is the person you're dealing with so stubborn they'd rather crystallise?
Re: he's helping
Have you seen any of those who have few from their world, or even none, come to arrangements with other Moonblessed as well? Or have those with significant struggles not emerged from that pool of Moonblessed that you've seen?
no subject
i haven't actually met a lot of people who don't have at least one or two friends from home around...
though the ones i have i think do usually come to arrangements with other moonblessed ٩(。•ㅅ•。)و
also you didn't answer my question about the person you're dealing with (´꒳`∗)
[Ren is always here to call someone out on that.]
no subject
I've met a mix of those who are here alone and those who are here with others from their home. Not all seem to be close, even, but it's difficult to say.
They prefer minimal contact, so yes. Closer to crystalising than choosing to do what must be done within bounds of comfort levels.

i mean, it makes sense that there would be people who are just acquaintances or even enemies coming...
some worlds seem to have a lot of people here (・_・ヾ
tell them they're silly
and that if someone is worrying about their condition then it's rude and obnoxious to just keep acting like it doesn't affect anyone else but them <(`^´)>
[fight his kaomoji face]

I've done so, and not just to this person, but others of my friends. Forgetting their importance to the people around them is an issue I've run into too many times. (At all is too much!)
no subject
but i don't think we'll find out any actual facts for a while
maybe you keep making friends with heroic types
it's kind of a thing with them ヽ(●´Д`●)ノ
but at least you're reminding them~
[Ren has dealt with that sort of behaviour on a world-risking level too many times to be very tolerant about it anymore.]
no subject
In other words, maybe they do, once they can allow themselves to do so.
Ah, yes, that isn't wrong to say... though perhaps not accurate. More of those inclined to specific understandings of what a hero might be do seem to struggle more with things.

[Which is followed by whatever the Prismal equivalent of the Doge meme is with that first line of Qingqiu's message written on it, except with the appropriate (nonexistent) grammar.]
anyway it seems like it'd be impractical to wait for those people to marinate about it for a couple of months \⍩⃝/
what, you mean ones that are trying to be cliched heroes instead of just naturally being heroic (・・?)
or at least that's what it sounds like when you word it that way
no subject
Ah, I think we need to start with: what do you define as heroic? What is a personality or expectation of behaviour for one you deem heroic?
no subject
i mean usually when i call someone heroic it's because they're being the stereotype ╮(─▽─)╭
putting their life on the line unnecessarily and being really dramatic about their ideals
no subject
Our definitions have a bit of a difference, really, though one acting heroic might put their life on the line when not needed... but they tend to find that doing so is not outside the strong possibility of them surviving. Dramatic about ideals can be just about anyone, even the most mundane.
no subject
we'd call that a conqueror rather than a hero
even though i do like reading about conquerors from the past myself~
i don't think it means as much if they know they're going to survive...
but since i was talking about stereotypes, those are a bit shallow anyway (∗´꒳`)
[He's not going to go in-depth on his thoughts in a public network post.]
