No real experience with time travel to speak of, but... alternate timelines really seem to be a thing. Considering that this isn't the first other world I've been pulled into and some of the people I've met both here and there don't remember there at all.

i don't remember alternate worldlines immediately, either. they end up coming to me in dreams later, but this sounds like a totally different case.

i'm very curious about how even different worlds work if this isn't your first rodeo with being pulled into a random universe.

Yeah, that's definitely not what's happening here.

As for how the different worlds work... I honestly have no idea. I don't know why it happens, but some of the people that I met in both worlds don't seem to have been to the first one at all. It really doesn't make sense other than like... completely separate timelines to begin with somehow.

that could very well be it. though strange that different timelines can determine which souls have been where.

i guess it makes sense because there are theories that state a new timeline is made for every choice we make. so maybe someone made a choice not to bring a person to a new world. i dunno.

... Yeah, I'll leave the theories on how time travel and timelines work to the people who've actually studied them. All I can really say is what I've seen and heard from other people.

Though the fact that people from multiple timelines can show up in one place like this is definitely weird.

it's weird considering that shouldn't happen. but also it's not impossible either. just i've never met someone that's from an actual different timeline. just from the same strand i'm on either in the future or the past.

i honestly couldn't begin to think of a theory, to be honest. this is more in the magical bullshit realm than in the science realm.

but to this place, it could very well be science. that's something i need to look further into.

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that. If that's the case it sounds like it's going to be a pain to figure out, even if they do have much more information on it here.

... Which considering we just started showing up like, half a year ago, is probably big if. [ Unless they're being lied to about the government not knowing why they're here, of course. ]
