hi there! my name's hunk. (yes, really.)

sorry if this kind of thing has been brought up before. if it has, i missed it! please feel free to point me in the right direction!

anyway... probably mostly due to cordis problems, people needing food or wanting to learn how to cook has come up a couple of times. and i've also bumped into a lot of people who share a passion for cooking and cuisine! so i'm hoping to organize an easy recipe archive for those who need it AND maybe a team of people available to provide lessons and/or to team up on meal-based community events. that kinda thing!

so let me know if you like to cook and would be down for this? or if you DON'T like to cook and would like some guidance? or just drop your favorite recipes below!

baking is awesome! we've definitely got folks down for that, myself included.

do you have flavors that you especially like so far? chocolate, honey, peanut butter, etc.?

Those sound fine to me! I haven't cooked with or eaten coconuts very often, but they're a fine ingredient.

i haven't done extensive research. i normally just make my own.

but there's this really rad diner around the corner from my building, though. they haven't let me down yet!

the most unique stuff i'm familiar with is polynesian cuisine, if you're down for that.

so... raw fish and coconut cream? or coconut sweet rolls?

i mean, i'm honestly not sure if that's the reason for the word usage there, but it sounds pretty reasonable!

Probably the second one? I don't remember the last time I even ate sushi, let alone had anything with raw fish.

you want a recipe? or an in-house lesson? they aren't very hard, especially if you can find frozen rolls.

yeah sure. that'd be fine!

pani popo (samoan coconut rolls):

you need: frozen dinner rolls, 1 can of coconut milk, 1 cup of sugar

1. grease a baking tray and arrange rolls, spaced evenly, to thaw
2. cover and let sit until rolls double in size (this can take a while)
3. preheat oven to 350ºF/175ºC
4. combine coconut milk and sugar, mixing until sugar dissolves.
5. pour 2/3 of mixture over rolls and bake 20-30 mins (til golden brown)
6. remove from oven, apply remaining mixture
7. boom. pani popo.

I think other people might have a problem if I barge in on this project with a litany of spicy recipes...

But you're definitely right. I'll aim for that. I live in a dorm back home and we all take turns cooking, so I have to adjust my dishes to make sure that everyone can eat them.

Hmm... I'll consider submitting two or three, in that case. Thank you for coming up with this idea!

powerful pirates have bigger crews. sometimes so big that you need a group of ships instead of just one, no matter how big it is. fleets aren't that uncommon.

parties and food are the best. i really miss eating like that.

Oh man, I love both! But I guess I get more practice with savory dishes, so I'd love to learn more sweet stuff.
