[ The camera is pointing to a workshop desk, with assorted bits of plastic, small rotors, wires and small batteries on it. It pans along the table, and then on the edge there are some devices that are left untouched. It's clear someone's been at work disassembling some toys. ]

It kinda feels weird just sitting around and not working, so I asked the locals around what kind of work there would be for an inventor like me. So they gave me these strange devices and told me to come up with something new.

There was a thing? I'm not sure what it was but it was a rubbery cylindrical object with a rotor in it. I was told it was relief device and it came to mind - oh! It's like when a doctor rubs your shoulders to loosen the tension except for the whole body. It felt inefficient to have only one cylinder, so after a bit of tinkering - I decided to add more cylinders to it.

[ And behold, the camera pans over Savia's latest three pronged masterpiece of a dildo. (image is nsfw) Her hand picks it up and flicks the switch, but it starts vibrating like mad and clatters out of her hand and onto the table. Savia quickly turns it off. ]

I haven't quite got the speed or intensity sorted yet, but that's coming next.

[ please save this oblivious girl from herself, it's not like she doesn't know what sex is but it's clear that the concept of "relief devices" went over her head. ]

If any of you have any ideas on what else I can do to improve, I'd like to hear them. Um, yeah! That's it.

I'm not sure what I'm doing but that's what I'm working out right now!

I don't want to kill anyone, it's not like I need volunteers to test it. The motor is rotating too fast and would cause unnecessary friction.

i can tell you right now the design isnt what i would call ergonomic

multiple penetration + vibration is a nice idea but its far too stiff to work for anything but really specific body types

Aren't those back-messagers? The shape does strike me as counter-intuitive, but I'm not sure more prongs resolves that issue.

Maybe a different form altogether would be best.

A different form... you may be right. Perhaps I was thinking about the design the entirely wrong way.

Maybe the appendages need to be softer and more tentacle like to cover more surface area.

[ Hmm. He thinks he saw something similar in the basket he won at the octopus festival. It also shook excitedly when touched, but he's not sure how to improve it. ]

Some adjustments to the temperature and texture may help. I am not very familiar with the item myself, but if there were a way to warm it up and make it feel more comforting, it may make the massage seem more realistic and enjoyable.

Yes! I was afraid to add a heating element because the rotor already generates an amount of heat, but perhaps by adding some sort of temperature control that excess heat can be turned into something more comforting.

This does remind me of how poorly some doctors tried to skirt around the purposes of the earliest vibrators, but I suspect that the locals are at least vaguely more knowledgeable about women's health than old Earth doctors were.
