Hey everyone. Not that it's my first time using this thing, [ shrug. ] but... I guess I might as well cut to the chase.

My name is Cloud Strife. Haven't ironed out the kinks just yet, but I'm thinking of opening up shop again. Lunatia's pretty big, and I used to run a delivery business back home. So...

[ He's gauging interest. ]

If you got a business or know anyone who does, I can handle your supplies' shipments. Or personal mail and parcels. You name it, we deliver it. [ Speaking of handling large packages, ] That reminds me...

[ Cloud's already standing outside by what appears to be the side of a road. So when he turns the camera... In frame is a monster-sized motorcycle that somehow manages to look sleek at the same time.

Yes. That's his ride. ]

[She smirks, but she's happy for him.]

As for the new wheels... what a beauty! I've seen similar in Eorzea on rare occasion... not quite as sleek, though. Never had the opportunity to ride or own one.

Actually, someone I worked with while investigating Iris told me to check Level 3.

I'll keep that in mind, though I doubt if I'll have the time to do much with it until we have more staff here. At the moment I've got a bit of help here and there, but...

[Her eyes get a little stormy for a second. She's on rough terms with Alisaie at the moment, since the truth came out. That's one helper she probably won't be seeing a great deal of until they make amends. They snap back to their usual brightness though, as she shoves those emotions down.]

That is rather convenient, though. Level 3, so close to work.

[Maybe she can find something to make the commute a bit easier then.]

Have you a base of operations for your business? Perhaps you could use part of the funding to build a garage on or into it?

[ Her momentary pause catches his attention. If it were anyone else, it might have slipped past them easier. But when it comes to Cloud... He knew his eyes. Moreso because the blond expressed many of his own emotions through them. If she were to let that lingering thought continue without another word, her ally and friend might have chimed in or inquired. But fortunately for her, Ziva perked back up once more.

Oh, you're in Lower Lunatia too? [ He wasn't, but, curiosity! ]

We just worked out of home back where I'm from. If I could get a shack or garage around my place, that'd be ideal. [ A beat. ] ...elsewise I'd have to move.

[ But he can't have that. Moving out would mean he let Panty win. It's gotten that bad. ]

[She could certainly do worse than having more people calling her out on occasion for withholding information, since that's what's gotten her into this mess now. Please someone shake this prideful, overly independent idiot.

But for now, even if he doesn't forget, the fact he doesn't press is enough for her to drop it entirely.]

That's right. I meant to gather more information and establish some contacts. Figured it made sense to settle in where the population mingles most. So far it's served well.

[What he says about working out of home makes sense for the sort of business he's doing though. It earns a nod of agreement.]

You're still living on level two, like most of us I assume?

[Though She's spent more than one night in one of the inn rooms at the guild just to save herself the trouble of all that back and forth while she's drumming up workers.] I'll keep my ears up for any promising leads.

Yeah. Never saw a reason to move elsewhere. [ Then again...he didn't think he'd be here for long. For the longest time, Cloud's apartment was rather barren and empty. But with time (and a roommate barging in), it's become something he can call his own. ]

[ This might sound like small talk, and sometimes it was a matter of passing the other by on the street, but not since Amegahara has he had a chance to ask. Might seem like a redundant question as she looks fine on the video, but... ]

I can certainly think of much worse places to live than a nice, quiet little residential area. It reminds me of the adventurer's wards back home.

[Maybe some time they'll have an excuse to visit one another at the others' home. ~~Then again putting Panty and Ziva in the same general space sounds like a really, really, really terribly ill advised idea so of course it needs to happen.~~]

His question earns a shrug, and the nearest Ziva's come to a displeased expression in one of their conversations thus far, outside of combat. A bit disgruntled, as if puzzling out just how much of an annoyance her current problems are, and if they're worth mentioning.]

Now that the gods damned ghosts are gone? Better. Can't say I appreciate knowing these devices of ours can turn against us when the dead feel like fucking around with us.

[Despite the language her tone remains deceptively casual, though that stormy look returns to her eyes as she says it, betraying the casual calm she tries to present.]

What about you?

Ah... Middle Lunatia's about as close as it gets to that home feeling for me.

[ Which is totally why, for the longest time, his place was damn-near barren for ages, right? At least it's more livable and accommodating when he's cleaned up after his roommate. ...maybe he'll visit her place instead. Just in case. ]

I heard about that... Somehow it didn't happen to me. I don't think I'll be visiting any grave sites for a while though.

[ Which leads into her question to him, as his gaze breaks from the feed. ]

Same boat as you. Just glad that it's over.

[ The dead should stay just...well, just that. ]

Have you found yourself feeling homesick, then?

[It wouldn't be surprising. Most of them have been here for a good while now. Unless someone just flat out hated their own home world it seemed likely that some of that would be settling in by now, it's just that some people are better at handling or hiding it than others.]

Lucky. I think I'll be avoiding it for the foreseeable future myself for now. Stop by and see me here sometime, I'll avoid telling you about it over drinks.

It's just...familiar. Seems like all I've been doing here is fighting and...handling the moons. The second I figure out a way to get back to my world, I'm taking it. [ ... With a fuckload of reluctance, he doesn't add. He shakes his head again before he starts to mumble or go off tangent. This world confuses him to the umpteenth degree. In more ways than one. ] Sorry. Guess it boils down to not wanting to change everything about how I live.

[ As for Ziva's little offer? ]

I'll take it.

I've always considered myself open to new experiences but this was a damn lot to take in. I think I've adjusted, for better or worse. It's been eye opening, and a break I didn't realize I- or we -needed, but I'm eager to get home myself, if the opportunity arises.

[Back to where familiar faces know who she is beyond having gotten to know her here in the city, that is. Back to familiar sights and sounds and smells... Other aspects she doesn't miss quite so much, like familiar enemies, and a quiet apartment, and life or death problems with as of yet undiscovered solutions.

And further still...]

[ He gets what Ziva means. When she mentions how he'd he missed if he were to ever leave, surprise washes across his expression. Making the most of his time here... He wonders to himself. For the time she was here...

Ziva... [ He nods as his face lightens up a bit. ] Okay. I'll be sure to drop you a line.

[As happy as could be expected. A lot of that easy going, confident air she puts on is genuine, but there are some days that she gets a little homesick herself. How long has it been now since she'd seen "HER" Scions? How long since she'd seen any of her adventuring companions, her extended family?

How long had it been since she'd seen Cai?

She has the guild, and that's been fulfilling in ways she hadn't expected, but if she's honest it's probably just a substitute for the bonds she misses so keenly, something familiar that she can wake up to, will be there every day that she's here, unlike the faces of the people she's met. Already a few have gone before. She means it when she says she'd miss him if she woke up one day to find Cloud was another one.

Never let it be said that Ziva wants to sit around feeling sorry for herself, though.

When Cloud's expression shifts, and she hears him say her name and trail off like that she gives him an amused smile, as if to say "Silly cub. No fretting over me, now.".]
