Sometimes, there is no hope. No light at the end of the tunnel.

There is always Hope, even in the deepest depths of Despair.

It's at those times it shines brightest, and even if you yourself lose it all, as long as one person can still rally it, then it will grow.

I know this for a fact.

Because just having hope won't be a solution to anything.

Well of course you have to take action, but the motivation and power to do so is given by having Hope.

And what if all that hope of yours was false? What would you do then?

If I put my faith in a false hope than my own hope wasn't strong enough.

That doesn't really answer the question.

One's own hope can never be false, others may offer a false hope, but the feeling inside of you will always be true. If I place my hope in someone who fails, well, as I said that means my hope was not strong enough. And if that person specifically deceived me and was spreading despair....

Well, I suppose such a terrible person deserves the future they will no doubt receive.
