No, you're right, and perhaps their tells are different, but I am usually quite confident in my ability to read others through their body language and expressions, even at a distance. I have to. I happen to tend to the sorts of patients that want to keep their injuries hidden from me and push themselves to the brink of collapse. There is that saying, is there not? "Hope for the best and prepare for the worst."

( There is nothing wrong with being wary, but don't let it hinder your ability to find the good around you, as well! Much the same could be said of me and my intentions, and people would have the right to be wary of any medicine I give them. But that is on an individual basis to make these decisions and figure out if someone wants to trust me and take the risk. All I can say is that I will do my best to help others to the full extent of my abilities.

( He gets precisely half a beat out of her, before: )

Oh! My. Do they exist where you've come from?

( Look. One of her first partners in this place is apparently a devil. She's broadening her horizons rather quickly and she knows a brilliant talking gorilla from the moon, who happens to be an amazing scientist. There is no room for disbelief here. )
