hello everyone. my name is nanami chiaki. i haven't been here very long, but i have a request to make. i know things have been scary lately and people got hurt, but i hope you'll still hear my idea out. it's because so many need help that i want to do this with as many other people as possible.

you see..... i noticed lots of people are doing different things to raise money for charity. especially to help everyone who got hurt. but what if you don't have a lot of chroma to give away, right? or it's not easy for you to get more, right? i think..... the more ways everyone has to help, the better.

so what i wanna do........ is put together a kind of video game tournament.

if people donate lots of prizes, we can have lots of different goals, like...... rhythm game played longest, or adventure game finished fastest. most monsters collected, or cutest monster created. there's so many different types of games! so anyone can play, and they can play however they wanna play and still have a chance to win something. all they need to do is pay an entrance fee, and all the fees we collect can go to helping people.

as for consoles and games, it'd be easiest if people who have those things already let other players borrow them or join them for co-op or versus play. video games are most fun when you play with other people, you know! and it's not like games are one-use consumable items, so.... it'll be fine. everyone will get a chance to play, and all the helpers should get their games back. i think.

...but if there aren't enough, i'll try to get more... no, i'll definitely get more! even if it takes a lot of chroma, i really think we can help this way, so i'm gonna do my best!

I'm willing to share my portable console.

Though I only own one game. It's about capturing different kinds of creatures and training them to battle other opponents.

I believe there's a multiplayer aspect.

ah! a monster collecting game! those are really fun, aren't they? tell me, do you like the cute ones or the strong ones?

oh, but... for something like that, it'd be better if we had multiple copies of the game and console so you could battle and trade with other people. don't you think? those games were really popular where i'm from, so i bet there are lots of people here to play with, too. does that sound ok?

The cute ones. My team is entirely composed of those.

I've never traded my creatures with anyone... Perhaps this is a good opportunity.

Fine by me. It's quite a popular game amongst children and adults, so I've heard. I would believe the majority who might be attending may have already owned both the console and a copy.

yeah! i think i know which one you mean. it's gonna be one of the first things i buy once i get enough chroma!

It is a fun game. For something that aesthetically looks to be made for children, the gameplay can be quite in-depth.

I have to say it is my most favorite game.

yeah. it's fun just to catch and train them and watch them grow..... but as you learn more, you can build strategies for individual members and your team as a whole. the tricks people use in competitive play can be really surprising!

I didn't realize people play this competitively... I might take a look at the competitive scene at some point and learn something from it.

Though I am more interested in collecting and raising them than that.

do you breed them, too? if you raise them well from birth, that usually makes them stronger. and you can try to select for good stats, too.

I never tried breeding them. Does it have to be with the same creatures? As far as where I've gotten, I only have one of each.

most games take that collector's instinct into account..... i think. sometimes breeding two of the same species together results in better stats or abilities for the child, but sometimes it's the exact opposite. in some games, breeding two different monsters can result in an entirely different monster.... and sometimes that's the only way to unlock something powerful and rare!

I see. I believe there is such a mechanic in this game. That is very useful to know... Breeding seems to be a better option than grinding to level up my creatures. My team can't survive without some fainting in boss battles... Unless I level grind.

You really seem knowledgeable about this... I am assuming you played a lot of monster collecting game before?

i'm a fan of all genres. retro arcade-style games and shooters, puzzles and platformers, even specialized niche games or crappy ones that got put together in a rush.... every video game has something to love about it, if you approach it with an open mind. ........that's what i think.

That is a very nice way of thinking. Commendable... Being open-minded is not an easy thing to do for a lot of people.
