hey so outside of holing myself up in my apartment under a pile of blankets and never going out when it gets cold like this or making myself half deaf with regular hats, does anyone have any suggestions for keeping ears warm?

No idea, I've never had cat ears before. They might though, I mean look at some of the natives, they have to have stuff for the more uh... Animalistic types.

Fur-lined hoods on parkas work wonders, though I think many of the furs here are synthetic. I don't know if they're as good as the real deal.

how do you get the real fur ones? sweep up the stuff that people shed or get shaved off?

Back home we’d hunt animals for their pelts, but honestly, that sounds like a far better way of handling it here since you don’t actually need to kill anything.

I don’t know if anyone actually does that here, but you could probably make a bit of demichroma if there’s a proper channel for it and you’ve got the features of a cold weather animal.

Ears like that may flick unconsciously when irritated, so I'm not sure putting them in individual items like socks or mittens would work.

Depending on how flexible they are you may be able to pin them back against your head or around the side of your face with something so that they can absorb your own body heat.

ugh tell me about it. sometimes having someone breathe on them makes them freak out and its not... bad? it just feels super weird

but i dunno if my ears are that flexible. they go back against my head when i'm cheesed and stuff, but they bounce back up real quick

maybe as long as the average hand? theyre bigger than a lot of people with normal cat ears

You could consider a heated hat - like a beanie with an inner lining made from less irritable materials. Your ears wouldn't require too much bending.

i have antlers and i have found when my ears were cold just to wear an ear warmer. it's like a headband

most clothes here are made for prismals and stuff with the moons
no hassle at all

yeah cheetah have smaller ears
serval have pretty big ears for cats
like they're kinda cute and long

but if they're like that, a scarf might work
but honestly everything is a bit muffled when you cover your ears

youd think so, right?? its not a problem where they meet my head cause theres more fur and its thicker, but im waaaaaaay more worried about the tips of them :( i dont want them to freeze and get frostbite and fall off
