[Zizhen appears in the video as he always does, wearing his red Baling Ouyang sect robes, hair put up in a top knot with its usual cap. When Zizhen starts the video though, he looks rather alarmed. Something must have happened for him to be this way]

I don't understand, Prisma! There must be some black magic at work, but I don't even know what it could be! It's just frightening!

[He adjusts the camera to show... the microwave in the kitchen]

It takes greater than five minutes for water to boil on this thing called a stove, but this "microwave" can boil the same amount of water in under five! This... this is madness! And those already made foods that have been kept in the ice - there are two details for cooking. Over 30 minutes in the oven, but only five in the "microwave"!

[He's saying microwave like he doesn't believe that's what it could be called]

Surely this must be a cursed item!

[Someone please tell him to calm down about the microwave... or egg him on]

Uhh... that I dunno. You'd have to ask someone who knows more about electronics. But they're totally safe! I used one back home pretty often.

Oh... okay. I don't know if its really worth it. I wouldn't understand it anyway unless someone was very patient to answer a lot of questions. But as long as they are safe.

Yup, they're safe. Not the best for like, every food, 'cause it tends to dry stuff like bread and already cooked meat out, but I found puttin' a little dish of water in with whatever you're re-heatin' helps.

Oh! That's a good tip! I'll have to remember that. As you might have guessed, I hadn't used microwaves at all before here.

Yeah, I've known a lotta people who haven't. I don't use mine much 'cause I just cook everythin' from scratch, but it's good for leftovers.

I suppose it could be. I was also told it is not very good for cooking rice which we make some almost every day. Which might be why I haven't tried using it as much.

Oh, yeah, microwaves are horrible for rice. Gets it all dry and gross. You need a rice cooker!

I think we do have one of those! It's very convenient when we eat so much of it.

Yeah! I love a good rice cooker. That was like, the first thing I bought when I got here.

If I had known about it before I was asked to move in, I would have too. But my friend and a senior from his sect asked me to move in and they already had one.

Oh, that's lucky. I got here with my girlfriend at the same time so we had to pick up a lotta extras when we could.

That makes sense. If I had arrived without others here, then I would have been doing the same thing. I lucked out really. There are a lot of others in our house.

You did. It was a pain. We had to go back to the store a few times because we kept using most of our chroma for the things we needed.

But! I'm not gonna complain too much 'cause at least this place has a modern kitchen. And power. And apartments that aren't falling down.

That's good. I've never had stuff like this before, but it's nice.

Not... my world. I was pulled to a different place before here.

It didn't have a name and we weren't given a whole lotta information about it when we showed up, but we all took to callin' it "Chroma Village".

Oh, so it was another place in this world that was run down like that?

No, it was somewhere else. A... totally different world. The name was just... we picked it, the ones who got dragged there. So like, it's just a weird thing that chroma happens to be the name of currency here.
