It takes greater than five minutes for water to boil on this thing called a stove, but this "microwave" can boil the same amount of water in under five! This... this is madness! And those already made foods that have been kept in the ice - there are two details for cooking. Over 30 minutes in the oven, but only five in the "microwave"!

It's because they work completely differently. A microwave uses electromagnetic radiation which causes fast acceleration of molecules to create heat.

The oven uses either electric or gas to heat up the entire inside and then cook the food.

Essentially a microwave boils the water inside a thing and moves out, and an oven bakes from the outside moving in.

I feel as though it must be magical in nature, though I would not say it is cursed. I am sure there are dangers associated with using it, but such is the nature of any unfamiliar magic.

Definitely magical in nature. But what else can heat up something so quickly and not be using some sort of dark energy. It definitely makes things very hot and It's hard to tell if something is done without it burning.
