Lunatia is so very different from my homeland. I wonder if there are others who have never seen such things as they have seen here.

To those who have been here for some time, does it ever begin to feel like home? What makes a place home?

That is good to remember. I believe I am still adapting, so the differences seem more stark than the similarities.

I also traveled extensively in my homeland. There was no single place that I considered home. The person with whom I traveled made the places we went feel like home to me.

Having a good companion is definitely one way to find comfort in foreign lands. I've traveled alone for many years, myself, but I was lucky enough to have a recent friend accompany me here, and we've been getting along quite well.

I hope you can meet that friend of yours again, or find a similar comfort in this world. The Caihong area is always nice to visit when I'm feeling nostalgic, at least.

My companion is here but the situation is complicated.

It's very nice! If occasionally dangerous, depending on what areas you visit.

Complicated? I hope it's nothing too serious.

There are two of him.

Two.....I've heard of that happening once or twice before, I suppose...

Are either of them the one you know? Or I suppose both of them would be? It must be a very confusing situation.

Yes, one is from the same world as I am. He knows all the evil that happened to us. The other, he is from before all that.

[holycurse]

["All the evil that happened"...is easy enough to understand, really, though he hadn't quite expected to hear such a thing. It isn't his place to go asking other people for painful details of their personal lives, though, so he moves on instead.]

Do you plan to hide those future events from the other one? I'm not sure which would be the better option, but...either way, I hope things work out for the three of you.

It would be my preference that he not be burdened by what may be. However, if he were to ask, I could keep no secrets from him.

That's a reasonable decision to make. I'm certain he'd appreciate your honesty as well, though I do not know him.

Perhaps, but the truth would be a burden I do not wish him to carry.

I wish him happiness then, in his time here. Whatever the case of his future, it likely isn't an issue while we all exist in this world.

As do I. Nothing could make me happier than knowing he is happy.
