[ The screen turns on and Louis is shifting the camera around a little bit, as if to adjust and make sure his entire head - antlers and all - are in full view. He has his head resting in the palm of is hand as if he's considering. And though his tone sounds nothing but curious, he's not particularly amused. ]

So. I'm going to take bets on what I might be - Hurry, place them while you can!

[ There's a long pause, as if he's absolutely teasing everyone. He is. ]

I'm kidding. I've always been like this. I've experienced zero changes since arriving here a few weeks ago. No weird impulses, no personality changes, no physical changes, either.

I mean, it's not like there's some sort of personality test and you get sorted into moons or something, so there's no way for me to know unless I change what I am here.

We need one of those online quizzes that I see ads for sometimes 'Tell us your favorite foods and we'll find you the perfect vacation spot!' Except it tells you what moon you are most likely to be.

[ Raises one brow. ]

So those of you who are Iris and have antlers only during the moons - your antlers shed monthly and regrow the following month?

[ Because that sounds like it sucks to him. There's a moment's pause, and he shifts a little, leaning away from the desk and relaxing into his chair. ]

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and say that it's probably impossible that I'm none of the above as far as the moons go. And at some point or another whatever I'm meant to be will reveal itself.

Anytime, during one of them, it'll suddenly show me what's up. And if I never change that probably means I am Iris.

Didn't realize deer needed fingers, I guess. Maybe your world is just really weird.

[Don't worry, Louis. He'll leave the topic largely alone from this point on and write it off as a difference in worlds. He's already had to deal with magic apparently being a real thing.]

that's why it's confusing. the ones I know of don't need to do any of that. I doubt they even have the concept of clothes, doors, cooking or written language.

they must have evolved very differently wherever you're from.

That's what your comments were making me imagine anyway. I've played video games that had humanoid animals as playable races before. Seen it in movies too.

Are all animals in your world like you, then? The whole "doing the things humans do" thing?
