Have you ever given yourself a new name?
Or maybe a nickname?
How did you choose it?
Does it have any meaning for you?

Not just any performer, darling! I consider myself a drag enchantressโand I went by โWhorelyn of the Depthsโ.

What's drag?
no subject
Well, basically it's people dressing as the opposite gender. But it's a lot more than that for me. How do I explain it... it's like I take on a different identity. It's a transformation into something more powerful and beautiful than I am.
That's doing drag for me.

So do you do drag all the time?
no subject
Well... honestly, on a daily basis, I don't think I'm dressing as either a boy or a girl? I just choose whatever I want.
When I say I'm doing drag, I put on a character. I put on an identity that's... not the real me, if that makes sense? In drag, I put on a fantasy.
But in my ordinary life, I don't really think I belong to either gender.

But I think it's awesome you're a performer!

I'm glad to know I'm not alone, darling. You are very sweet. I must get to know you! What's your name? You can call me Fish.
no subject
You know, since you want a nickname, would you mind my calling you Fi-chan?
no subject
A pleasure to meet you! How would you like me to call you, darling? And... well, I can't say no to such a cute nickname such as that. Fish is actually already a nickname of mine-- it was given to me by people I worked with in my early adulthood.

Oh, then, if you don't mind my asking, what's your real name? Or, is Fish the name you prefer to be called?
no subject
How adorable! Fitting for a sweetheart such as you!
If you don't mind, I do prefer being called Fish.
