Birthdays, fighting and sex. Those seem to be the most popular things to talk about on the network lately but like, I'm sure you people have other things that hold your interest right?

Like what do you do for fun that isn't fighting or sex? I can't speak on birthdays since it's not something my species celebrate, but if you don't have an answer for the first question then I guess you could always try explaining why birthdays are so important?

[She's been wondering this for a while but didn't feel it would be best to ask these things with her name attached.]

I have...something of a strange dilemma. I came here six months after my birthday, and arrived six months ago...but my birthday is in June. Based on actual length of time I've been alive, I just turned nineteen...but my birthday isn't officially for another half a year.

Do you think I should just go ahead and start listing my age as 19, or would it be to confusing for the people who know what time of year I was born? I know I've already told a few people I'm a Gemini, so waiting would be simpler...but it feels a little weird, going an extra half a year between birthdays.

Hello Everyone!

Some of you know me but for those who don't it's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Rise Kujikawa.

In light of recent events and everything that went down on Iris, I have a request to make. If things like that are going to keep happening, I can't rely on everyone else to protect me. I want to learn how to defend myself. I don't know what kind of fighting I'd even be good at or what would work for me, so I'm willing to try whatever you want to teach me!

For reference, I'm a very petite girl. I have dancing experience but no real strength.

I'm willing to pay for lessons in chroma! Or helping out at your business if you have one. Reply here or directly message me!

Thank you! Hugs and kisses!

[The feed opens on a positively gleaming vintage car, parked in the shade under some leaves. It's black, it's expensive-looking, and it's obviously very well-cared for.

It's an interesting juxtaposition to the supremely annoyed hiss that's the first thing out of Crowley's mouth.] Ssssssssssso. If anyone else happens to want to bring something big here. Say, your car. Minor complication.

[At that point, he reaches into the frame and picks the car up, revealing a perspective trick that had been making it look reasonably-car-sized. He'd set it down under a bush, for the establishing shot, because even while VERY UPSET that his precious Bentley is about the size of a remote-control car, there was no reason not to show it off.]

Gonna have to have a word with that shop guy later this month, see if there's anything to be done about it. Meantime, I guess I'm stashing this inside somewhere.

[At this point, it becomes apparent there's a faint noise coming from the car; Crowley, still off-camera, sighs.] No one asked you. [The music continues, and he cuts the feed before the song can really progress.]

[Straight-up, the first thing you notice on the video isn't necessarily the man sitting face-first, dead center in the camera with a somewhat stern expression. No, the first noticeable thing is the miniature white board and dry-erase markers just floating mid-air behind him. There are various equations and unintelligible scribbles and what looks like a music scale written on it, but it isn't sitting on anything and it doesn't seem like anything is holding it up.

He isn't paying it any mind. Instead, once he can confirm that the feed is broadcasting, the stern expression disappears, and he smiles, raising a hand in greeting.]

Hallo. My name is Dr. Siebren de Kuiper, and I am doing something of an interest check. As... well as a general inquiry, I suppose. I was an esteemed astrophysicist back home, and I was wondering if anyone has used the observatory here. I'd like to know what I'm working with.

But also on that note... we had what we call 'star parties' back home, as well. Group stargazing parties, essentially. Would anyone be interested? There's a whole new night sky to map out, after all, and observations are... quite frankly, more fun when done in groups. Fresh sets of eyes and whatnot. Besides, I do like seeing a healthy interest in space sciences!

[He gets more excited as he talks, and the objects floating in the background start to rise and shake a little. He seems to see the reflection in the stream and settles back down, clearing his throat somewhat sheepishly. The whiteboard sinks back down as well.]

Oh. Pardon me. Anyways, I do plan on joining the trip to Amegahara, so the actual events won't happen immediately. But if anyone would like to join me, do let me know.

Hello, fellow Moonblessed! This is the Principality Aziraphale and I have a few subjects I'd like to discuss with you, if you have the time to spare.

One is simply a request for good book recommendations, though I'm also curious if anyone has ever run into books here they were familiar with back home?

The other is particularly for those also blessed by the Iris moon... Have you had any trouble with shocking things? And people? My last phase resulted in my being quite affectionate but it's a bit of a hardship trying to cuddle when you keep accidentally shocking your partner.

[There is a possibility of Crowley threadjacking, forewarning.]

I have a question, that...you'll probably understand my reasons for posting anonymously once you finish reading.

The local culture is very open and laid back about sexual interest. It's different as hell from my own home, where men who show sexual attraction are viewed as disgusting perverts and assumed to be dangerous, while people don't even fucking think about women having an interest in sex beyond wanting to have children. Some of the posts I've seen here would get everyone involved labeled sexual deviants for the shit they talk about in the open.

My question is, how do people adapt to it? I'm here doing my damn best to keep my mind out of the gutter because I've been taught thinking about anyone you don't want to date like that is disrespectful as hell and fucking creepy, but then I turn around and see people openly asking for hookups or rating each other's asses, and instead of people calling that shit skeevy, they either go along with it or treat it like a funny joke.

I know it's not prudishness, believe-you-fucking-me, my life would be easier if I was just naturally shy or reserved or whatever. It's an extreme form of culture shock, and I wish I didn't end up feeling like a dick constantly over the kinds of mental images I get from both the way people act in public around here and some of the things the prismals hand out as fucking party favors.

[ The feed clicks on to show America in a suit for a change. He looks super official! His video post is going to be a lot more wordy than his last one since he's gotten his bearings here. Congratulations if anyone bothers to hear what he has to say. ]

Heya Lunatia!

[ Looking formal and acting formal are two completely different things for him. ]

My names America-- well, that's one of my names, I guess! Some of you who have met me and some of my other colleagues may know us by different names, but I'm here to clear some things up for ya! Take a second and look at what I have to say. I drew a kick ass lit AF graph for you guys to follow if you get confused! [ actually the graph is more confusing to look at.. ]

Has anyone seen any stars or constellations they recognize? I've been looking, and I haven't seen a single thing that seems familiar.

[It's a little disappointing, honestly. And she's been here for roughly two months now? How is that even possible?]
