Y'know, going up in space, visiting other worlds is supposed to blow your damn mind. The idea's that you're exposed to stuff so unreal, so beyond believin' that it's alien to you.

So why exactly are we celebratin' Christmas in space? Feels kinda weird, to be honest. But I guess capitalism and commercialism is a universal concept.

Still, though. Kinda gets me thinkin'. How do you celebrate your holidays where you're from? Don't tell me about Christmas though. We all know about Christmas.

Is it? Stores are closed, weekly programs get delayed. For New Years you just end up watching Kouhaku since there's nothing else on TV while eating instant ramen wondering if you should go to a shrine or not but deciding not to because there are probably too many people there already. Without friends or family to make the disruption worth while, it's just getting in the way of an everyday schedule.

I don't really know much about holidays in America. Halloween seems fun though, I like all of the horror stories that come out around that time of year.

I assume everyone has their cherished and tiresome holidays.

I don't really celebrate them, so I can't tell you much of personal traditions. I can tell you what cities do during them though, and festivals that are held. Sometimes I'll go to those and watch fireworks and play the games. Though it's boring to do it too much, I always win.
