[ The woman looking to the camera has probably been through worse. She looks like there's some powdered sugar on her nose, her glasses are askew, and her sweater definitely has some chocolate smudges, but hey... at least her rabbit ears are fine? At the very least, she looks determined, like the utter mess behind her isn't fazing her in the slightest. ]
There are others here who celebrate by making their gifts, aren't there? Whether it be Firialia or Starlight or - anything, really. Since we're all ushered away here... or, well - supposed to be? Is anyone truly braving that icy tundra? - either way, since many of us are here, perhaps it'd be helpful to make gifts together.
I imagine those who have just appeared here may not have much in the way of Chroma to buy anything if they have someone close to them here, and there are some of us who are doubtless better with our hands than finances. The villa I managed to rent is far too big for just two people, so I've no problem having a few over if one wishes not to craft alone.
I'm not stepping out into that snow if I can help it. [ She grimaces. ] It's simply not good weather for a desert-dweller.

[ She's noting her reactions, just filing them away for now. Just a force of habit now, after everything. ]
... she was a real princess. A collective family of nobles that had to go into hiding after their homes were invaded. Last I heard, she'd chosen to become an adventurer and see more of the world.
[ There's a small, warm smile at the memory. ]
Sounds like those tales of the Ruby Princess, though that one lived in the ocean if I recall the stories right. This one lived on the surface, far in the mountains. Maybe you'd know more. The Kojin traders would often speak of the Warrior of Light visiting them.

[ Did the Naadam count as her taking back her "crown"? ] Ugh - that's too confusing, whenever you two meet you're free to ask her if she's still an actual princess. Though I think we'd call it a different matter.
[ She balks a little, embarrassed that she was so blatantly put on the spot and named as a Warrior of Light. She can feel her face getting warm. ]
W... well, um - yes, I know of the tale of the Ruby Princess. Um, the... problem with that is... I...

... you might have to explain yourself a bit more, lass. How'd your adventures around Othard go, then?
[ Strange, every Warrior of Light she did mention this to spoke about the same circumstances about their journey to Othard. Then again, with so many from different existences... maybe this one didn't go the same path? Perhaps? ]

Being one of five Warriors of Light, I've never truly saved anyone or anything. Everyone already has it covered, you could say. If it helps, just don't think of me as one of them - just an adventurer who knows them.

[ She knows the Warrior of Light has a party of adventurers with him usually, and if she recalls the tales from the fall of Dalamud correctly, there were other Warriors of Light that "disappeared" then.
She tilts her head curiously. ]
... doubt you'd be part of that if you weren't, you know. Though this is the first time I'm hearing of the other Warriors of Light— usually you just hear of the one.

My other four friends... well, there's Pimelle, who is what you would call one of those original Warriors of Light. She fought at Cartenau, and she fought against the Garleans, when we were officially recognized as the Warriors of Light. I've been at her side since the start of my journey, so I've always been able to see her grand feats of heroism firsthand - you wouldn't believe it came from her, she's practically perpetually asleep!
And Princess... her true name is Dunya. Though she hails from the Steppe she was the first to take a step towards Ishgard and mending relations between man and dragon together once more. She's always complaining about her dress getting dirty or something or other, but she's sharp as a tack, especially when it comes to politics. None of our efforts in Ishgard would've worked without her.
Arenlona helped head the resistance effort in Ala Mhigo. Before she traveled to Eorzea, she lived in a Garlean-occupied state, so fighting back to liberate it and Doma was... personal, for her. That bit you heard about, of the Warrior of Light travelling to Othard and meeting with the Kojin - that would've been her area, not mine. She's a much stronger swimmer... and she knows more about pirates and the sea than me, since she lived in Limsa for quite a while.
Don't misunderstand - the five of us travel together, so none of us is alone, but... it's usually one of us who takes the initiative, and the rest of us support them.
Returns after wedding hell omg
[ She supposes it would make sense that the roles would be split. ]
Do you like it, though? Doing what you do? I'd always felt bad for my Warrior of Light— most of us don't even know his name. Or any of his party's, for that matter. Almost feels like we're placing our faith in some nameless gods again, aye?
rip
Princess is well-known for being an extraordinary weaver, for example. I've learned the art of ninja, so I'm called upon for more... secretive matters.
I'm not sure I could place faith in someone I wouldn't even know the name of... and it's even harder to understand that they would go through so much on their own. They're amazing.
and now that I finally have a room again
[ And... ]
You didn't answer. If you liked what you're doing.
:confetti:
I just - I thought it was obvious!
[ She rubs the back of her head. ]
It's... hard work, is all. This world will chew you up and spit you back out. I like seeing what we've all worked so hard for pan out. It was nice, seeing people start to have faith and hope again. That's my favorite part.
