[ The woman looking to the camera has probably been through worse. She looks like there's some powdered sugar on her nose, her glasses are askew, and her sweater definitely has some chocolate smudges, but hey... at least her rabbit ears are fine? At the very least, she looks determined, like the utter mess behind her isn't fazing her in the slightest. ]

There are others here who celebrate by making their gifts, aren't there? Whether it be Firialia or Starlight or - anything, really. Since we're all ushered away here... or, well - supposed to be? Is anyone truly braving that icy tundra? - either way, since many of us are here, perhaps it'd be helpful to make gifts together.

I imagine those who have just appeared here may not have much in the way of Chroma to buy anything if they have someone close to them here, and there are some of us who are doubtless better with our hands than finances. The villa I managed to rent is far too big for just two people, so I've no problem having a few over if one wishes not to craft alone.

I'm not stepping out into that snow if I can help it. [ She grimaces. ] It's simply not good weather for a desert-dweller.

You don't like it? I think the snow is remarkable, having spent my entire life in a desert. Cold, yes. But that's what the warm clothing is for, isn't it?

That's all well and good until you can't cover some parts of yourself. It looks nice and I don't mind watching it fall as long as I'm inside.

Is this your first time seeing it?

[ Ah. Rey hadn't thought of the ears being a problem to cover. She frowns thoughtfully, like she's trying to figure out a way that one could put something warm over large ears. She smiles a little awkwardly at the question, shaking her head. ]

It's not, though my first experience wasn't... great. This has been better, so far.

I can agree with you there. My previous experiences with snow and ice haven't been all that good, either. Even if I know I can't repeat those experiences, they're a bit hard to shake.

You know how to walk on ice, don't you?

[ Rey bobs her head, a little more sure of herself there. ]

I learned pretty quickly. Not so different from loose sand, though with less chance of sinking in and getting stuck.

You're already better than me, then. I tended to slip and fall often - I'm almost certain I hit my head no less than ten times.

[ And probably way more, to be honest, but she's not keen on showing herself to be completely inept with snow, even if she is. ]

It sounds as if you're able to adapt quickly, though. That's a rare trait. Likely helpful here, though, isn't it?

She lets out a half laugh at the observation of her adaptability, nodding her head. ]

It's been a bit of a learning curve, there was never so much blatant magic in my own world.
