[ The woman looking to the camera has probably been through worse. She looks like there's some powdered sugar on her nose, her glasses are askew, and her sweater definitely has some chocolate smudges, but hey... at least her rabbit ears are fine? At the very least, she looks determined, like the utter mess behind her isn't fazing her in the slightest. ]

There are others here who celebrate by making their gifts, aren't there? Whether it be Firialia or Starlight or - anything, really. Since we're all ushered away here... or, well - supposed to be? Is anyone truly braving that icy tundra? - either way, since many of us are here, perhaps it'd be helpful to make gifts together.

I imagine those who have just appeared here may not have much in the way of Chroma to buy anything if they have someone close to them here, and there are some of us who are doubtless better with our hands than finances. The villa I managed to rent is far too big for just two people, so I've no problem having a few over if one wishes not to craft alone.

I'm not stepping out into that snow if I can help it. [ She grimaces. ] It's simply not good weather for a desert-dweller.

I was told that the cycles can also affect one's behaviours. I am unsure of how to say it without being unfortunately crude, which I would like to avoid if possible. Is there any truth in that statement to your knowledge?

[...Perne might have preferred to have been lied to in light of that confirmation.]

I see. That is unfortunate. I suppose it better to be aware of it. I had hoped it was exaggerated, in truth.

I might not consider it a 'fear' as much as I would a potential discomfort. Yet I am more inclined to believe someone from mine world than someone who was not. If you feel it is nothing to be too concerned about, then I shall have to take that into consideration and pray you are right.

Something sparse, aye, though I did not hold high expectations or standards, all things considered. Tis something simple, but shall work for the time being. I am hardly in any position to be particular, though I eagerly anticipate the ability to return to the town proper. I had barely oriented mineself, only for us to be so rapidly relocated in the face of the winter's storm.

Most unfortunate timing on mine part, it would seem.

I had heard naught of such things before.
I suppose the only upside is that if anyone was anticipating a rather dull stay, they will certainly caught unawares. Although I confess that the thought of such happenstance is troublesome, at best. Is this kind of thing a common occurrence?

Splendid.

[She doesn't need a voice to properly convey the sarcasm in that response, she's sure.]

At least I shall not be suffering in mine solitude. Misery does so love company.

You seem relatively optimistic about all of this. Is it wise to think they have our best interests in mind? Would you not find it a bit strange if they were?

Then that would explain the hospitality. They offer us what they can in return for that reliance. I suppose it would have been too much to expect unconditional kindness in light of the odd situation. Yet they too must survive. Mayhaps they are simply doing what they must.

[That optimism again... It's so very different from how Perne perceives things. If she hadn't been of Ishgard, mayhaps she would be more like Allumette.]

And they from us. If it equates, then I suppose that is the only thing that truly matters. I pray that such a fruitful relationship betwixt our peoples will continue as it has.

[Because alliances have a way of turning sour with time.]

There is that to be considered. At least it seems there are some here with some good sense. Such relations will require patience and circumstance. Many do not have the luxury of such skills.

[There's a particular pause with Allumette's question, though...]

I am remotely familiar with how it works. I have not utilised it much mineself except for testing purpose.

Are you asking me to take some pictures of the snow for you?

[For one reason or another, Perne is utterly charmed by the prospect. She could, of course, be misreading what her Viera companion is getting at, but...

She never really has been good with people, though. Or interpretations, evidently.]

[...Yes. This is very charming. Perne can't even help smiling a little over it.]

As I intend to appreciate its beauty, despite its chill, I would be honoured to capture something hopefully worthy of your gaze.

[Allumette may not be fond of the winter, and for good reason, but that she can still perceive beauty in it implies an open mind and that is something Perne can deeply respect and appreciate.]
