Movement 1: Introduction | UN: Pidonus | Text

Good evening, whoever opts to read this.

My name is Pidonus Marasia, and I'm new to this place. Like a lot of people, it seems. Is it normal for people to show up in batches like this? There was something similar on the previous world I'd been pulled to.

Which, yeah. That's also a thing, this isn't the only world that does that. Nor the only one that makes you lose almost all of your equipment in the process. Really annoying for an adventuring bard to be down to one old instrument and one weapon.

Anyways. I've got, uh. A lot of questions. I kind of get higher technology than what existed on my home world, the kinda place where the crossbow was a hot new thing, but that plus a city of a scale I can barely process is. A thing.

The culture that logically forms from that is so unlike anything I've ever known that I'm not even sure where to start.

So I'm going to try to just guess, with a few ideas like this.

1) Any ideas for things to do? Extra challenge, stuff that's good at night when most people are asleep? I kinda. Don't need sleep, so that's something I have to account for.
2) Any ideas on how to meet people? This network's a neat start, but it's not the same as in-person contact.
3) ... Any advice for someone cautious about deep contact with people?

Thanks for any thoughts you might have.

No, that's

entirely too similar.

I'm a wizard. Needed more time than my mortal lifespan allowed and had far more desperation than sense.

I'm sure you can fill in the blanks.

I'm afraid lichdom isn't nearly so glamorous, but any fiendish options were strictly off the table, considering who I was dealing with.

[ Let's say it again: Graz'zt is extremely scary. ]

Kind of ironic, considering that a lovely gentleman from Hades gave me an extremely fortuitous deal on the secrets I needed.

[ Look paying a yugoloth material plane money is a lot more palatable to her than any other option she had. ]
