Movement 1: Introduction | UN: Pidonus | Text
Good evening, whoever opts to read this.
My name is Pidonus Marasia, and I'm new to this place. Like a lot of people, it seems. Is it normal for people to show up in batches like this? There was something similar on the previous world I'd been pulled to.
Which, yeah. That's also a thing, this isn't the only world that does that. Nor the only one that makes you lose almost all of your equipment in the process. Really annoying for an adventuring bard to be down to one old instrument and one weapon.
Anyways. I've got, uh. A lot of questions. I kind of get higher technology than what existed on my home world, the kinda place where the crossbow was a hot new thing, but that plus a city of a scale I can barely process is. A thing.
The culture that logically forms from that is so unlike anything I've ever known that I'm not even sure where to start.
So I'm going to try to just guess, with a few ideas like this.
1) Any ideas for things to do? Extra challenge, stuff that's good at night when most people are asleep? I kinda. Don't need sleep, so that's something I have to account for.
2) Any ideas on how to meet people? This network's a neat start, but it's not the same as in-person contact.
3) ... Any advice for someone cautious about deep contact with people?
Thanks for any thoughts you might have.

1. my former roommate played video games all the fucking time and apparently a new popular one has come out. but you probably also want to ask yourself what your hobbies are because this is a really general question and you could do a million things you're not the only night owl here no pun intended for people who get owl furry parts
2. there's a regular online service to swipe right on people you wanna meet or i guess there's probably speed dating. i dont fucking know people just talk to me for some reason but the network does help. keep posting ridiculous questions and someone will be your pal
3. what the fuck does this mean
Re: text | un: fantasma
1: I don't actually have experience with video games, now I think it. So that's maybe a start.
Good to know I'm not alone on the night thing, though. Part of the thing is previously I didn't... Really have time for hobbies? Like, there's my music, but that's a job.
2: Not sure about dating.
3: ... I'm afraid of getting too close to people because I was in the middle of that for the first time in my existence and then suddenly I was pulled here.

2. ok then dont date im not your boss
3. yeah well get in fucking line. we've all got shit we're dealing with. im sure someone will be patient with you, we got all kinds here.
no subject
1. That's probably the point. Just gotta start trying things until I find something I like.
2. Fair enough. It's nice not having one of those.
3. You're probably right. Meeting people is probably my best bet... So I'll just. Need to try some things.

2) There are occasionally large social events in the city, and the Moonblessed get blanket invitations because the locals want us to meet each other, and usually want to meet us too. Just, be careful what you eat or drink, because it's a local custom to have enchanted food or drink on offer that can cause physical or mental effects. It's harmless, but can come as a surprise to people who think they only have to ask about what's alcoholic.
3) Take your time. The culture here is very enthusiastic about relationships, but there's no actual pressure toward it. As long as you have people you're comfortable touching in some way, you can let emotional investment come at its own pace.
Re: UN: G.Akechi
Social events in town could be a thing too, though magicked food and drink... Makes me glad hunger and thirst aren't my thing.
And... Yeah. It's just. I kinda was almost intimate and lost it recently because of getting pulled here...

But, my condolences. It's not quite the same, but there was someone back home that I had a crush on, so I understand missing someone you feel that way about. I don't think I had much chance with her, though.
Do you know how the person in question would feel about you potentially getting involved with people here?
no subject
I think she'd be cool with it in context, honestly? Especially given how friggin' weird the context is...

Before I came here, I never would have imagined a world where touch generates energy.
Or a world where open relationships and casual intimacy are perfectly socially accepted, for that matter.

But it's definitely a presence.

I am a wizard.
I suppose for those of a more bardic disposition it may give you time to perfect your craft, but I wouldn't know too much about that process.

Also, I apologize, I did not intend that in a mean fashion.

I'm still figuring out a lot of the questions you have, too. It hasn't been that difficult to meet people so far, though, so I think you'll find it's going to be easier than you think. I do have to sleep, though, so I can't really suggest anything for the normal sleepy time ...
Re: text | un: amber
Like, nice in some ways. Butthen boredom.
no subject
I'll be sure to let you know if I ever have some nasty insomnia, though.
no subject
And yeah, maybe I'll have actual answers by then???
no subject
Or maybe you could find another hobby? This place is a lot better for finding new hobbies than the last place I was in.
