1. is there a catch to all this?
don't get me wrong but the whole moonlacing thing ?????
and just being here in general i guess
seems like some weird buildup to plot outta left field
can't be any worse than a few games i've played but you know

2. how often do people just leave and come back and can you ever get those memories back?
is there a way to like pass that stuff on?
mostly asking for a friend

As the old saying goes, everything is good in moderation.
But the Prismals do not appear to have much control over who comes here and how many,
meaning it will always be impossible for them or for us to control the chroma output.

I know that was probably not the answer you were looking for, but I am afraid it's the only one I have.
Your friend is the first I've heard to leave and come back. Did they really lose their memories of their previous visit?

The mass events were a collective effort from the influx of all the Moonblessed,
so it's difficult to really know unless you gauge everyone's output at once.
I don't know if they have any equipment to collect all that information.
Maybe the devices can measure and add up all the chroma readings, but as far as I am aware,
no one has shared that information with us.

Do you know if your other self died at any point?
That may have triggered the memory loss.

Sorry for bringing it up.
If I had to guess, then it might have been something about how we were summoned and brought here from our worlds.
The transferral process could alter your knowledge in such a way to keep you from affecting the sequence of events in your own home world.
Either that or to protect the knowledge of its existence.
