[ about thirty seconds pass, and then- click! the video feed is enabled. it's at a weird angle, probably because she's had to rest the device against a wall, and the color balance is a little thrown off by the light radiating off of venus, but there's no mistake: this is her.

just, you know. about fifteen feet longer, two feet thick, and without arms or legs. enough feathers to make up for it though! ]

Danny! [ she sounds... proud of herself? also her voice is uh. wow. ] Jiro helped out, so now we don't have to worry about typos!

[ that voice is something else. it fills to expand the room, like a phone recording of a cathedral's choir. it's nearly magical - or it probably would be if she was in person, at least. ]

I thought maybe you were exaggerating? ... I mean, I knew people can get animal parts you don't expect, but "dragon" was definitely low on the list of what I thought was possible here.

Oh. Yeah. It's kind of weird? But I guess after the snake tail, it just wasn't that weird. You know?

Unless you mean, just. The dragon parts in general? In which case that's not that weird. Jiro had some last month.

Really? Huh... well this is my first time seeing someone with dragon parts here, so it's definitely a new discovery in my case. Now I can only wonder what else one might obtain that previously existed within the realm of fantasy... at least, in the realm of fantasy I knew of back home.

[ it's hard to read the face of a dragon. but it's easy enough to put together that she's teasing from her tone - playful, friendly, almost flirty. it's certainly a nice combination with her current, majestic voice. ]

Mm... nah, I think it makes sense. Devils are real even if they're not, you know? Dragons are more... Even if they were real, once, they're not really real. Not like the devil.

So aside from the concern you had regarding food, is there anything else you're having trouble with? Or, on the lighter side of things, is there anything neat about being a dragon that you can do now?

Hmm... Pretty much anything that requires hands, actually? I don't really have any right now. Which is sort of a bummer.

[ still, she definitely perks up at the second question. ]

Oh, yeah! Plenty of stuff. Um. I can sort of coil around myself and take up less space? And I can eat a pancake in one bite. Oh, and my voice sounds really neat? Like... I don't know how to describe it, haha!

So I've noticed. It sounds otherworldly... I'd even say heavenly, perhaps, but maybe that's not the right word in your case?

Ugh, definitely not. [ but she doesn't sound angry or displeased - at least, not actively. ] If heaven sounds anything like God? My voice is way better.

Agreed. I've never even heard the voice of God before, but if I had, I'm pretty sure I would still prefer your voice over theirs any day.
