I also have that duty. The power of the gods can wane, in some place or another. There can be a need to travel to the low places. But I've only had to fight in a circumstance like that twice.

There's nothing like that where I'm from. We have a police force that works on keeping the peace. On places that are rougher, they do their best to be more present. That's not always the case, though, so sometimes it falls to regular people to do the protecting.
