Do you mean to say that people do not experience physical death in your world, or that it isn't permanent, or something else?

I'm something of an expert on the subject, so.

We pass away from old age. And sometimes on the roads and in the low places and in the presence of great demons, where the gods cannot extend their protection. But it is very rare. I've led many armies and never seen a battle-death.

1: What happens to those who become terribly injured or ill
2: What is the rate of overcrowding in your world
3: This sounds incredibly callous, but what is the point of war if one's armies do not die?

Either way; yeah, death happens where I'm from. Sometimes old age, sometimes accidents or as a result of crime.

We also have our time to leave. But the gods protect us from sickness and violence. One would have to pass out of their protection to die of violence.

They do not leave entirely, not where I lived. I've met some of the dead and their company is... generally tolerable.

What if a person is mangled beyond repair?

Par exemple, if someone's head is severed, will they still refuse to die? If the brain is crushed, would they still live? Do they continue to feel pain even if you dismantle them, layer by layer?

They would have to be cruel gods to let them live in that state, non?
