Question for the network. How do you celebrate birthdays here? Do you mark it based on the days back home, or the date here? I guess I'm trying to figure out how I should count.

Also, if anyone has any good names for cats, I guess I'm open to suggestions. She's a girl, if that helps.

i'd only count the days if the timeline stuff is gonna make me miss a birthday. otherwise it sounds like too much of a headache

it's not weird or anything, but most teens like us look forward to birthdays for that reason, y'know. i'm always hoping my mom gets me some new shoes when my birthday comes around.

I'm not saying that's wrong or anything. I just never really cared too much about stuff. Or I haven't since I was really little. I guess I was looking forward to being able to see my mom on my birthday this year, though.

And yeah, if we're counting by the calendar here. January 11 back home, eleventh of firstmonth here. It's why I was thinking about it

And yeah. My dad's here, but he's pretty much the worst. I know some people have said that either we're clones, or that time doesn't pass in our home worlds when we're here, but I can't help worrying about her. I visit her every week in the hospital so I really hope she hasn't missed me.

whoa. that sucks. i'm sorry your dad's like that ... my dad wasn't around for most of my life but he's not a bad guy.

i had a friend who left and came back, and she confirmed that when we go back we're just gonna return back to the time we left. she'll probably be alright, but ... i know that doesn't make being apart any easier.
