Hey, magic knowledgeable people, how possible is it on a scale of 1 to 100 that people who have a part of what used to be your body (nail clippings, hair, blood, antlers, scales, fur, feathers) could work some kind of magic on you, specifically, with it?

I mean, more how likely do you think it is that people here can do that? Especially as more Chroma's being absorbed back into the world.

Short answer: Yes.

That is extremely possible.

Clean up after yourself?

Most of what you've listed are potent personal items that usually retain a strong degree of a being's essence and energy for varying periods of time. Where I come from, it would be an easy 100. It's possible here. Why?

for a minute there i thought some wizard bastard was threatening you or something.
if you're ever in any trouble, you gotta let me know, alright?

anyway ... if you ever lose your antlers somewhere and are worried about this, crazy diamond could probably retrieve them.
[ Maybe? He's never tried using his stand on moonblessing features. ]

You've put a decent amount of thought into this. I like that.

In a case like this, execution is more simply stated than practiced for the majority of people. The simplest answer is to change the form of the object so that it can neither be acquired, nor used if it is, but to do that, a person must be orderly in collecting anything that can be used as a focus for them and careful where they store it should they choose a particular day to address it instead of doing so immediately or someone can come into a wealth of you to utilize or sell to someone who can.

To change the form of the object, the easiest, most effective solution would be to cleanse it with fire and properly scatter the ashes. Thorough destruction is a must. In skilled hands, even the smallest undamaged wisp of a hair or feather can be used to achieve great effect. It isn't simply a matter of cleaning up after oneself, but proper disposal.

If you want to discuss measures to guard against things before the fact, a person skilled in such things could be employed to install wards and counter spells, but there are many factors to consider when you start getting into those sorts of hypotheticals.

Hey. This really was a good question to ask.

huh? uh, yeah. we're pals after all. we got each other's backs.

[ Only, he probably won't call Shino when he's in a pinch, because he's not used to being the one being saved and would prefer to handle it all on his own. Oops. ]

crazy d fixes what's broken, so if those antlers were still considered a part of you ... actually, i don't really know how that would go.

[ Would they reattach to Shino's head? Maybe it's best to actually test this out before offering his services. Also, he's wondering what or who Murasame is now, and he might ask about it later. ]

Antlers will be tricky since they're a kind of bone. Even human bones aren't completely broken down by crematory fires and those are very intense. The sort of intensity you'd need probably won't be readily accessible to the public, come to think of it, but I might know someone who could do it outright without the need to grind anything up for easier scattering. Unless Fire claims them, feathers tend to burn easy in my experience.

It'd be best to find a practitioner and speak to them directly so they can address any issues or concerns you might have about receptivity and tell you if they have something that will work for you in my experience. I don't exactly have the easiest time with that sort of thing myself.

You said they break?

It's definitely particularly weird here. I mean, one day you have them, the next they're gone and all of the extras are. Well...extra.

There's two options that stick out to me as ideal for smaller parts:

1) Fire.
2) Flush it down the toilet. It'll stay in its current form, but very few people are willing to trudge underground in tunnels full of urine and darkness for a single feather, weighed down with filth.

Blood washes out easily enough in very cold water, as long as you don't wait for it to set.

The antlers are the only really problematic one, however.

he's usually able to fix broken nails as long as a new nail hasn't already grown in its place. i'm guessing it probably would work for antlers ... but i'd probably have to cancel the effect before those antlers start trying to reattach themselves to your head again.

that sounds kind of freaky.

It doesn't really work that way where I'm from, but judging from the replies you're getting I'm apparently the outlier.
