Specifically candid just means any photography in which subjects are not posed. So being in motion and acting natural do fit as you say--but so does secret photography. Or creep shots.

[The latter is a new term for her, admittedly, and she wonders if it's just lack of knowledge on her part of because Pitch just doesn't acknowledge such photography for what it is]

You know Now that you have brought it up, even if somewhat indirectly Do you think it is creep shot of me to manufacture an image of someone who is not here? I want so badly to have some way to keep them close, but I cannot exactly ask them whether they mind.

That's a rather complicated question.
At the end of the day the only one who can say for absolute sure is the person in question but.

I think it's rather circumstantial and the most important thing is your relationship to this person.
I'm assuming you two are rather close so I think that wouldn't be creepy.
They would likely miss you too.

Maybe you're right. And, well I suppose if they do ever arrive here, and it turns out they minded, I can get rid of the pictures! Do you have anyone you miss from your home?

As for myself I miss my family, but I think it would be very difficult for my mother to adjust here.

Thank you. I really hope so as well. It's been nine months now, and I have begun to grow afraid that my memories will fade... that's why I want to make pictures of them as soon as I can. For your mother? Why is that, if I may ask? (I have very mixed feelings about the idea of my own mother arriving here, as well)

She cannot take on a human form as I can.
She is also very, very big and cannot live outside the ocean.
So it would be very alienating for her, and possibly difficult for her to moonlace.

That's hard to answer.
If you asked me before I arrived in this place I would have said yes.
Where I come from all of us are people, though many argue otherwise.
Not just shrimp but all animals are people.
Then I came here and all the native animals are incapable of speaking or understanding most speech or critical thinking.
But some seem capable of understanding emotion to some degree.
Many years ago, long, long before my time the animals of my world were like that too, but eventually we evolved.
So I'm still reluctant to categorize animals here as not being people since the same could happen to them.
And that's just to speak of this world.
From the way people talk it seems other worlds are more like this one in that respect.

Anyway Putting that aside for the moment... I suppose I would have thought that the mother of a shrimp would also be a shrimp. But that's not the case in your family?

Both my parents are crustaceans, but my mother is a lobster.

A lobster too big to leave the ocean? I had no idea such a thing existed. How impressive... My mother and I are More or less, the same type of being. [ well, they're also more or less the same being. even if titus supposes he's kind of a downgraded version. ] We're both magicians.
