[ there's a young woman dressed in what looks like some kind of uniform, hair tied into two buns behind her head. She's muttering to herself -- but she has already started the feed, perhaps before she's ready. ]

Alright, Tico, here goes nothing -- 

[ Her face falls slightly ] 

Oh, it's already recording. Can I start again? 

[ No? Well, this is kind of awkward. ] 

Hi, I'm Rose. Tico. Rose Tico. I've been here a few days now and just wanted to introduce myself. So I am. Hi. 

So I was thinking of taking up some work while I was here. I'm a mechanic -- I spent a lot of time working on star ships, things of that nature. But I'm good at fixing other things, too. Payment can be discussed once the job is done.

[ With an awkward wave and a smile, she cuts the feed. ]

[ Rose moves to sit across from her, passing her the second glass. The bottle is left on the table. Just in case. Her face breaks out in a smile. ] We won...

[ She stares at Rey for a moment, and then she's clutching the medallion worn around her neck, head bowed slightly. We did it, Paige.

And then she's staring up at Rey, leaning forward slightly. Intently. ]

Tell me everything.

[ Taking the glass and almost immediately drinking from it, Rey takes a few moments to run over what everything entails, exactly. She wishes there were things she could fold up into tiny pieces and throw away, but Rose, like Finn, deserves to know everything. ]

So, after we left Mon Cala...

[ And she proceeds to catch Rose up with the last year, all the stuff we don't know but is probably super relevant to Rose and the very important story about Palpatine coming back and being her grandfather and also a really rushed explanation of her connection to Ben and his sacrifice. When she's done, she looks anxious, knowing it's all a lot of information. ]

[ Rose listens, intently; asking no questions and letting Rey explain her story. From Palpatine, to her heritage, to the bond she shared with Ky - Ben. The events of the war and the downfall of the thought to be dead Emperor.

Her death. And the sacrifice to restore her life. It's a lot to hear and for a moment, Rose stares at her. ]

I... wow.

[ And then she knocks back the entirety of her drink back in one long drink, before moving to refill her glass. ]

That also kind of answers my next question, about Ben.

[ She'd wanted to get Rey's opinion on the man, she'd spoken with him briefly and it had been weird and Rose still isn't sure how she felt on him. ] I wanted to ask if you thought we could trust him, he was with the First Order, but... [ she trails off. ]

[ Rey feels a little empty, after pouring everything out. But it's a good empty, like all the secrets that had been building up inside her were finally free. She nods her head as Rose trails off, reaching for the bottle after the other woman is done with it. ]

I am biased, but he wants to start over, here. He may not be able to do anything to repay the galaxy for what Kylo Ren did to it but... He's good. In his soul, he's always been good. It just took him too long to realize it.
