I had never given much thought to sexual intimacy before I arrived here.

[The soft, sonorous thrum of Zenyatta's voice comes drifting across the network like a cloud on the wind, punctuated haphazardly by the faintest of chimes as his orbs circle, unseen. His tone is carefully neutral, curious and undemanding, as he continues.]

When my omnic brothers and sisters liberated ourselves, some among us chose to forsake such human forms of sexual gratification as symbolic of our subservience; our bodies were built for the use of humans, and our ability to feel physical pleasure merely a supplement to human pleasure. To use them as free, sentient beings was to agree that we were little more than shallow imitations of our creators.

I had not considered my own path at all, until now- and, for my ignorance, it is all I can think about for a few days each month!

[Wryly amused for a second there before he continues. If he is being perfectly honest there is one person in particular who is driving him to distraction, but... he hums.]

I believe I would like to try it for myself, under the right circumstances, yet I find myself-- quite unsure. Would any of you be so kind as to share your own first experiences? [brightly:] "Virginity" is merely a social construct, of course, but I am sure each of you has a story you might care to tell!

[There is something else in her answer, Zenyatta realises, something more to that little laugh- but he does not chase it, for now.

Instead, he claps his hands together in delight.]

How romantic! My world has yet to truly accept relationships between humans and machines- it is reassuring, to know that my hope is not a foolish one. They are not here?

[divaricate]

Humans ... need laxatives for the sticks up their ass a lot of the time, honestly. [ Humans can be dumb. She knows. She is one. ] He's not here, though, no. I'm one of the only ones from my exact universe here, at least for now.

[tekhartha]

[That earns a little hum from him, amused in spite of himself.]

Do not be so hard on your kind. We are all capable of changing for the better. [Still, he pauses at her predicament, voice softening.] It is quite the conundrum, is it not? It is only natural to crave familiarity here, and yet one would not wish such an upheaval on anyone, least of all one's friends.

[divaricate]

That's true. [ On all counts, she means. ] And him not being present is also going to cause me to be sexually frustrated while I'm here.

[ She says that part half jokingly, with a small breath of laughter. ]

Which is a whole other side to sexual intimacy with someone, or someones.

[tekhartha]

[Joking or not, it does present Zenyatta with another angle he had not entirely considered; of all the friends and acquaintances he has made here, she is the only one to mention a significant other.]

Then you are not planning on being intimate with anyone else here, if you can help it? [She can probably hear the cocked head in his voice.]

[divaricate]

I do, it's just.. damn emotions and expectations, really. They've got bad habits of popping up when it's least convenient. Kind of like if you know someone really annoying, and they knock on your door unexpectedly.

[tekhartha]

[Zenyatta chuckles in quiet, appreciative sympathy.]

I am beginning to understand that for myself. For what it is worth, I believe that, in your lover's position, I would not begrudge you your actions here. In many ways it is rather wonderful, to be able to acceptably express one's affection through such physical intimacy.

[divaricate]

I hope so. [ A soft laugh, short. ] And I think so too, about the second half. Some people, beings, don't see it that way.
