[look at this finely dressed deer in the headlights. this is the face of a man who's clearly trying hard at something. and while he's still new to much of the technology here, that isn't the problem. (even if the typo in his own name might suggest otherwise.)

he looks like he might turn this off after all, and maybe he's regretting that he didn't go with the texted word, but then he takes a breath and pushes forward.]

I would like to address those out there who are fathers. Or anyone who might have experience with raising a child. Sons, especially.

[a long pause...a man with as much pride as jin zixuan surely finds it hard to ask for help. but he reminds himself of his sole reason, and suddenly it all rushes out.]

How does one...form bonds with them? What activities do they enjoy? What should you talk about? Do you try to be their friend?

How do you inquire about their [his expression twists.] chroma?

Any advice would be appreciated.

[please make him father of the year, it would mean so much.]

you shouldn't have asked other dads. As someone with a dad, a lot of dads are disasters.
Should have put the vote to kids instead.

And maybe form bonds by just going to them and showing you want to? You could start by apologizing for this post

it's a brand of bag
it's trendy but most importantly it's really expensive

[Because there's a kind of guilt a father feels when he lets the government take care of his five year old esper daughter, only to find out five years later that they had all failed her. The government, the caretakers, even the father himself.

So the Hermes bags are the easy out she gives her parents: a smiling, cheeky, unreasonable request to assure them that she'd ended up fine despite everything and that even if she knows just as well as they do that they weren't great parents, that they tried and they're still trying to this day to be better.]

[....He isn't going to buy his son one, is he?

He is, isn't he?

As a nice girl, she should be steering him towards buying something else, probably? The boys in her life never cared for things like Hermes bags, but she also kind of wants to see how this is going to play out.]

maybe?
or they'd probably have an equivalent to it
any fancy bag should be fine
what's your son's favourite colour?
and are they more of a classic neutrals kind of guy or a pop of colour kind of guy?
good_ideas: (geez || if you keep saying that)

[His son should definitely have one!

And then she’ll also take one too, as a consultation fee.]

Pale gold?
Leather? Faux leather? Or you know like brocade?
This isn’t really meant as an everyday bag so you might be able to get away with fancier material too
I mean, pale gold isn’t exactly the kind of colour that would survive heavy use

[She says, like she isn't the one who all but told him to get her a bag.]
